It is a good idea.

However, for flares and windmills I watch bboys.

For salti and flexibility i watch bboys, capoeiras, tumbling and extreme kicking contests.

I am not trying to take away anything from them - they have great body control, accurate and fast kicks. But I agree with everyone that this is more dance and show than anything else, and If i want a show i really look at bboys like massive monkeys, Gamblers, or Obowang.

In fact, i'm a bboy too, but i've been practicing taekwondo for 12 yrs and that's what you do when you want to show your skills, unless you go to comps and so on.

Taekwondo practicioners are some of the pioneers of XMA which incorporates acrobatics. It makes sense to see TKD itself evolving to include XMA moves (and yes, XMA is influenced also by Wushu, Capoeira, Karate, Gymnastics, Breakdance, etc, etc. It's creativity has no limits!

Taepoong and Ktigers are probably the best tkd demonstration teams in the world. But Ktigers is more well known and are the official team in korea. I've seen all the Taepoong vids and most of the ktigers, If i were to choose which one was better, i would pick the korean tigers. And they don't suck.
