I just got my E71-2.... I wasn't really excited, newegg had it on sale for 300 so I nabbed it. After a few hours, and changing the product code so i could update the firmware, man it just kicks ass!! The update made it even faster than it already was.! it kicks so much arse, it seems like everytime i use it, there is some chinese guy kicking/punching holes in someone else's house! Camera seems better too after the update.

I can only recommend this phone its great.

The size of the keypad is just perfect - really nice to type.

About the camera, its quality is great for snapshots. Dont forget this is not a camera, its a business mobile.

Hey Steve, I have a question concerning my E71. Isn't it supposed to have a really fast internet ability? I'm using WLAN via our wireless 8mbit broadband at home so that's not the problem. I am NOT impressed with the speed at all, and I wonder what might be the problem. Or maybe I just had high expectations. As an example, it took the phone about 25 seconds to fully load IMDB home page. So slow, I think. So, do you think there's something wrong, or is it just my expectations? Thanks in advance.

Can you please help me. I am using a 16GB card with my e71 and it seems working fine expect when I try to refresh the music library, it stuck, what I meant was the music player stuck cos I can use everthing else fine. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about Korea. But some Nokias aren't made in Finland... Try it out in-store for real, to see if it's a fake or not?

Been using a E71 for a week here now. I have to say it's one of the best phones I've ever used. Build quality is really great and the battery life is indeed very long, can run all night in sat-nav mode. Should last me a couple of years.

Used to have a N95 which didn't last me 9 months. The screen broke on it in my pocket, due to the fact its exposed and has no protection. Plus the slide action was getting really rough and crunchy. Also battery life on the N95 is really short unlike the E71.

Movie playback and games on the E71 aren't as smooth. N95 8GB every time, especially with the larger display.

I currently have a nokia e65 and the old n80. I was planning to get the n96 when it comes but this new e series has gotten to confused I have 3 cells to choose whats the best choice? n96 e66 e71. n96 is not new to me all my friends got n95 the only difference screen memory but DVB-h does make a difference. e66 feels very similar to the e65. e71 is new to me . whats the best choice. does e71 has yahoo or msn messenger

Yes, both have GPS. E71 is much better though, the E66 is all style, the E71 has the functionality.

Yes, sorry, I meant the iPhone generically, but yes, the iPhone's transition from feature phone to smartphone was one of the drivers in me widening the scope of the show. For example, one of Nokia's new Series 40 phones has Nokia Maps, a webkit browser, Nokia Music store etc. Getting harder and harder to distinguish from a true smartphone etc.

Depends on what you want. But the N95's way faster for movies, games and media.

Thank you for the review of the E71. It is definately top of the list for my next upgrade.

S60 is definately the best OS (yes, I've used the others), and I believe the touchscreen fad is ..well just that ..a fad, and that the qwerty keyboard is by far the easiest way to input into a device.

They're wrong. Early material on the web was copied and pasted from E90 specs, I suspect. VGA at 22fps was quoted, which is plain wrong.
