Just got back from Zambia, Botswana and S. Afrcia. That is pretty south, they are in the Winder Season right now. What a neat area. Maybe not the intent of this song, but Kitty (Kate) this is more south than TN, AL, LA and FL. Maybe she will visit Africa and make some song out of that, I know she can - she is talented.

My grandfather used to ride his horse bareback in the 1920s down Orange Ave, in Orlando, FL. That is wild, the streets were still dirt.
