There could be a number of reasons why, one reason you may not be selecting the layer, another reason because you've only just got one layer...

Annotations are the little boxes he typed words in like on the bottom, he added it to his video so he didnt have to make a new vid. I don't know how to make the silver box though.

In The Layer Properties you have to change the Mode to somthing other than normal, Example: change it to Difference.

its kina simple...(steps)>>

1.>type words

2.>duplicate word layer

3.>select with circle

4.>then delete it (cut)

5.>then go to the duplicated layer and set the opcasity (misspelled) in "layer properties" to a lower number

6.>deselect?

I Made something like that in 1min ,its really easy. if if u want to flip something. only check that image on the layers window.. thats why every thing flip because all the image are checked.
