It is the Arabs that come to America and buy American thoroughbreds. I live near Kentucky, couple of hours from the Kentucky Derby. You will see many Arabs there watching their American bred thoroughbreds race.
I'm sure many other countries have their sets of strong, fast horses. But to generalize and say it is the Arabs who come to America and buy American thoroughbreds is like re-inventing the wheel. America is not even 200 years old.
Arabs do come to the USA, Ireland and other countries to build their stable. Beyond that, Arabs have been coming to the USA to buy Arabian horses as well. The majority of large Arab stables have stocked their stables with Arabians from the USA.
