my dad is friends with brad lipshaw (alex's dad) and they are definitely done for sure he told my dad cassadee has left the band. they werent making enough money for the lable so the lable dropped them. cassadee was on a seperate record deal from the beginning so the lable kept her and dropped the rest of the banddd

@glassoceans25 People say Muse sounds like Radio Head or Coldplay sounds like U2, even if thats true, one reason those bands are successful is they stand out with their own unique blend. Paramore may be influenced by No Doubt or other artists, but they did enough to separate themselves and stand out. Hey Monday just doesn't have enough unique features that separates them from Paramore, especially since they got popular soon after Paramore blew up. P.S. No Doubt is releasing a new album in 2012.

In my opinion Hey Monday has no originally. They sound too much like Paramore. Even Cassidys performances on stage mimics Hayley too closely. A artist can still be unique while being influenced by others, but when the sound is too similar to another to the point where there's nothing significantly different to stand apart, that's when they lose my respect. Hey Monday never got that far compared to other bands, that's because the mainstream only needs one Paramore band.

Yellowcard took a break for 2 years and then got back together, recorded a great album, toured and are still together today. blink-182 actually broke up and didn't speak to eachother for 4 years, got back together, recorded an album, toured and are still together despite still having side projects going.
