You really need to think before you talk, the Deere machine can go 16mph in the field, thats almost faster than what this crappy massey can do on the road. I have never seen a Deere bog down. I have seen a Deere knock down 6' oats @ 10mph when your massey couldn't handle them at 6mph. If the deere bogged down it was because you didnt know how to run it and the knife speed was probably set wrong.
@jakecarypiola252011 You need to think before you talk dude. Not that I disagree, but Massey's new WR 9770 will cut at 16 mph and go down the road at 21 mph. If you were a factory rep, then you would know the code that makes it go 32mph down the road. We ran the prototype up against a non-prototype deere and it outperformed it big time. My dad is also the dealer for Massey's and gets Deere's on trade all the time for guys hating them and wanting a Massey. Just some helpful info.
I'd love to run Massey's new windrower though. From what ive heard, it would give the New Holland a run for its money. Its just that right now im in a biased spot cause ive never ran a new MF/Hesston; and i was just absolutely astonished at what that New Holland did.
We've havent ran a massey before; but we demo'd a H8080 New Holland and John Deeres r450; the New Holland H8080 is king. Like the older 4995, The new JD really starts to notice the crop once you reach about 8.5-9 mph. It'll start barking and bogging down as the crops moving through. The H8080 in the same piece and type of crop never really noticed the crop till about 11-12 mph; and even then, never sounded to be working as hard as the JD ever was. Regardless, both very impressive machines.
I've seen and ran em' both and this is the leader for sure. It will cut good all the time and the John Deere will cut good the first day on new knives then it will strip.
Jds are dung deal with it
