Dudes, I started doing my squats 3 times a week and since I started doing them 3 times a week, I simply don't get sore, and I'm getting some CRAZY strength gains... I mean CRAZY... I add 2kg on my squat every new workout... that's 6 kg (approx 12 pounds) of added weight on my squat PER WEEK. I'm not bullshitting you, that's the truth. I learned about frequency from Mark Rippetoe's Starting Strength.

@ALKIUDAF Well depends on your goal. If you want to gain muscle then that is bad indeed. If you want to gain muscle: eat alot, sleep enough, and train each bodypart ONLY once or twice per week. This is the thumbrule for most beginners. You can't really go wrong with 1 time per week. That's what I recommend.
i workout every other day like monday wednesday thursday saturday days like that i dont have a certain workout plan cus i mainly do everything in the gym when i noticed i missed a day then i couldnt do as many reps then i could on benchmaybe cus the muscle fibers were forming or my energy was depleting no matter the situation i plan on getting a bench max of 225
Man I trained my legs on friday. It was a short workout, but pretty intense. Not much rest in between sets. I went shooting some pool with a couple of mates on saturdayevening. I had to bend my knees and fuuuck! I could hardly get back up. My legs were just shot to bits =D Great feeling!

When you hit your triceps, you're also hitting your chest. And vice-versa.
Search for some videos on the Twins' routines and rest between days of workout.
You should work Legs also, if you are trying to bulk up: you want to be symmetrical and even, I've seen dudes with huge chests and arms, and NO ass or anything. Looks stupid.

@wadehjb i used to wake up feeling like that when i first started working out, and i read that it happens to a lot of beginners since the muscles aren't used to being worked that hard, but as u go on u can do a full workout and not have as much soreness, and personally i don't really get sore anymore

I've always had the usual ache and stiffness, but it's only been the past few months the stiffness has got to this level. It's feels a lot like the burn/lactic acid feeling you get right before hitting failure during a workout, except it can take an hour or more to subside.

@socomkilla91 deadlifts are fine with proper form, but ive seen some bad stuff tahts bound to mess up your spine, ive been deadlifting for a while, getting quite heavy on them aswell and tis all good

@xAxBeVaNxBx chest works your shoulder a lot so yo're working shoulders 2 days in a row. Also military presses etc use your triceps a lot so you're working triceps 2 days in a row too. Hope that helps you mayne

Man, I just experienced that same scenario. I am going to school, and last week was king of hectic cause I let my homework pile up, so I missed a couple of days at the gym. Finally got caught up with the homework and hit the gym, I thought I was going to be sucking but lord and behold I was pumpin more reps. My muscles were like little beasts, I was in shock lookin at my muscles as I was knockin rep after rep. Next day I was HURTIN! that was some good trainin! 5 days rest for muscle groups.
here's a good sign of overtraining which i have experienced 3 times and still recovering from the 3rd time (MY BODY DOESN'T LIKE WORKING OUT), going to workout and NOT being able to lift 1/4 weight i lift on a given excersise. i was doing 15 sets for chest, 15 for back, 15 legs, 9 for bi's, 9 tris, 15 for shoulders (once a week) with a drop set for every 3rd set and everything to failure. lets just say i'm not gonna lift to failure in the 1st few weeks when i finally recover and no drop sets lol
i did dead some dead lifts yesterday and and i have to do legs( squats) tomorrow....it's been a while since i have did dead lifts and right now my back is on fire my lower back to be precise it is extreamly hard for me to bend over and pick up something...so i know when you squats you put some pressure on your back....should i avoid the squats tomorrow...or is that level of soreness normal....please advise thanks fellas....

@xAxBeVaNxBx hi, you shouldnt go with shoulders right afther chest day cuz, your anterior delts get worked on a lot of chest exercises. i would suggest switching your monday workout with your tuesday workout
@xAxBeVaNxBx The only change I would make is don't train biceps on back day your arms workout the entire back exercise...and the mushroom tip stroke I usually like to train at-least 5 days a week.

What about you guys start doing a couple videos on Sport-Specific workouts/training etc. For example I'm a pitcher and I don't want to gain to much muscle so that I don't lose range of motion etc. On another note since this is your job right now you guys should make Dailylife videos of you throughout the day when you go out etc. You could put them on a new channel or use one of your other channels.

@wadehjb i used to wake up feeling like that when i first started working out, and i read that it happens to a lot of beginners since the muscles aren't used to being worked that hard, but as u go on u can do a full workout and not have as much soreness, and personally i don't really get sore anymore
soz idk if you're a beginner or not but maybe that's it lol
i remember feeling my chest sore for upto 3 days at the start.. was snappin shit up i guess

@FranksLtd Thanks for the reply, but I've actually been bodybuilding 5 years now. I've always had the usual ache and stiffness, but it's only been the past few months the stiffness has got to this level. It's feels a lot like the burn/lactic acid feeling you get right before hitting failure during a workout, except it can take an hour or more to subside.
Maybe it's my age as I'm approaching 35 now.

@socomkilla91 lol do you know exactly why though..it depends how much weight you were doing and how experience you are..if you just starting working out 2 weeks ago then by all means..fuck dead lifts. sorry to hear you snaped some shit up :[ that excercise can be dangerous but it's one of the best ways to measure your strenght. like what your whole frame can really do.

@MagicCryo idk what happened really.. i was so pumped up that i couldnt tell if the pain was good or bad until the end of my entire workout. because until i chilled out for a minute and there were pains shooting down my back into my leg haha. i guess i went a little too heavy, or fd up my form at some point. ill just have to pay more attention next time

@socomkilla91 deadlifts are fine with proper form, but ive seen some bad stuff tahts bound to mess up your spine, ive been deadlifting for a while, getting quite heavy on them aswell and tis all good

@xAxBeVaNxBx chest works your shoulder a lot so yo're working shoulders 2 days in a row. Also military presses etc use your triceps a lot so you're working triceps 2 days in a row too. Hope that helps you mayne

Is any body else having this issue? I feel know kind of soreness on what so ever even with my max weight. And I'm pretty sure I have propper form.. only soreness I feel is doing lower back workout..so yeah anybody else not feeling soreness on upper back?

Man, I just experienced that same scenario. I am going to school, and last week was king of hectic cause I let my homework pile up, so I missed a couple of days at the gym. Finally got caught up with the homework and hit the gym, I thought I was going to be sucking but lord and behold I was pumpin more reps. My muscles were like little beasts, I was in shock lookin at my muscles as I was knockin rep after rep. Next day I was HURTIN! that was some good trainin! 5 days rest for muscle groups.

here's a good sign of overtraining which i have experienced 3 times and still recovering from the 3rd time (MY BODY DOESN'T LIKE WORKING OUT), going to workout and NOT being able to lift 1/4 weight i lift on a given excersise. i was doing 15 sets for chest, 15 for back, 15 legs, 9 for bi's, 9 tris, 15 for shoulders (once a week) with a drop set for every 3rd set and everything to failure. lets just say i'm not gonna lift to failure in the 1st few weeks when i finally recover and no drop sets lol

i did dead some dead lifts yesterday and and i have to do legs( squats) tomorrow....it's been a while since i have did dead lifts and right now my back is on fire my lower back to be precise it is extreamly hard for me to bend over and pick up something...so i know when you squats you put some pressure on your back....should i avoid the squats tomorrow...or is that level of soreness normal....please advise thanks fellas....

Is resting a week between each muscle group good or to long? Because i do:
MONDAY: Back/Biceps
TUESDAY: Chest/Triceps
WEDNSDAY: Shoulders/Traps/Forearms
THURSDAY: Cardio/Legs/Abs
FRIDAY: Stroke the old mushroom tip.
Is there any problem with that?

@xAxBeVaNxBx hi, you shouldnt go with shoulders right afther chest day cuz, your anterior delts get worked on a lot of chest exercises. i would suggest switching your monday workout with your tuesday workout
