Well, satan has plenty to do with secularism cause when you remive God, then how can you define God given rights? And see this allows satan to set up himself or a man or a group to Dictate what rights really are.
Our country was founded on the Pronciple that there is a God, that you can know God, therefore know what your rights are. And governments are established to protect those known rights which God has given.

While some founders may have been non-christian, at the time the word Religion meant Denomination, for they stated the only true religion was that of Christianity and defined all others as flase religions, therefore not religions at all. But still believed God gave rights.
