No the Lions first rounders are terrible because the players they have taken have been terrible. Look at Calvin Johnson, the only good pick Millen took, and hes great. Everyone else sucks because just that, they sucked. Charles Rogers was good but blew his career getting high literally everyday (go watch his interview on epsn) and was continually injured.

The dumb ass pick Millen made was Mike Williams. If Kevin Jones and Joey Harrington had a O-line, they would still be decent players. They were going to be first rounders anyway even Charles Rogers. Keep in mind, Detroit was not that far from his home town Saginaw. Roy williams is still getting used to Dallas Offense. I agree with what you said about Calvin but the Lions got lucky with Calvin. Every team has some players on drugs and injury prone. These days, players are droping like flies.

I saw the interview on ESPN, that shit was funny. The coaches and whoever else should have kept his ass in check. He should have been diciplined by the Lions staff. There NFL players who have done worst mess that Charles. Ricky Williams was a pot head and had Injury problems but, he is still in the league and he gets some playing time eventhough he is not the featured back anymore. He's a third down back or something. Only 3 first round picks from 2001 remain on the Lions. The rest are on other teams. So if they were so good and were just bad then they would be different right? wrong. The players just sucked because they were drafted high by a retarded GM.

Oh yeah, I agree that Matt Millen was a dumb ass but, the Lions still have too many holes to fill especially on the O-Line. No matter what RB or QB you get, you need an O-line to block for them. Your offense can't do shit without blocking. Kevin Smith and Calvin Johnson could be a hell of a lot better but there is not much room to run and the QB does not have much time to throw. For example, Emmit Smith had a good ass O-line. Aikman had plenty of time to get the ball to his receivers.
