A worthy successor to the first movie and has that self-winking humor like Scream or Last Action Hero. I think it's better than those cheapass wannabe of Gremlins movies such as Ghoulies, Spookies, Munchies, Evil Toons, Troll and even Hobgoblins except for Critters 1 & 2 which were charming in their right.

Your getting confused with Stripe from the first Gremlins. The first leader of the second film was called Mohawk, but Gizmo killed him and Brain Gremlin became the leader.

Yep, I think Gremlins 2 lacked the innocence of th first movie, because of that. The first was unique, because it was like an innocent family movie in parts, just with added anarchy from the Gremlins! lol

Just because I prefer the original Gremlins, doesnt mean I hate the 2nd movie. lol The first movie had a special charm that was lacking in the sequel, but I still think Gremlins 2 was a very good film! The cheap rip-offs come nowhere near the greatness of Gremlins, even Gremlins 2. I agree the first 2 Critters movies are decent, if still nowhere near the classic Gremlins. xD

Have you seen Hobgoblins? the worst of all Gremlins rip-offs, i saw that piece of shit on USA back in 93 when i was 12 and i thought it sucked ass, but thank god Mystery Science Theater 3000 riffed on it. Critters 1 & 2 i thought were great but i prefer Critters 2 since i had a thing for that centerfold bounty hunter chick that i had a crush on since i was a kid.

His name was Percy Rodriguez. He was of Afro-Portuguese descent. I believe he passed away last year at the age of 89. He was one of my favorite movie trailer voice actors. He did a lot of voiceovers for the trailers of horror films in the 80s and 90s. An interesting side note: He guest starred in the "Star Trek" episode "Court Martial" in 1967.
