He is using the correct chords for the song. Chris Tomlin will sometimes mix it up but usually uses these chords with a capo at the third or sometimes second fret. This is a great cover of the song. Keep it up brother !

hmm... well, when i'm learning a new song, what i usually do is to just focus on the strumming. once i'm familiar with the strumming, i add the singing in. if there's a part where i can't seem to strum and sing together at the same time, i just focus on that area and play it over and over till i can
