Get inside to core. I at the time had an SMG, i shot it for like 1 sec then ran in and beatdown the core, and it sends me flying out the back, i guess its just when you destroy the core with a beatdown while your touching it.

I've done something similar on the level with the two scarabs. And it works.  Get a ghost or warthog and drive towards the scarab on the left (idk y, but I can actually reach it in time). Drive towards the scarabs until they actually land on the ground. Once they touchdown, they'll pop up their heads. By this time, you should be fast and close enough to touch this, and you'll be launched into the air. It's not as high as -this- glitch, but it's still fun to live after you do.
