She hasn't been cleared of anything. There are two investigations still going on as I type this. The issue isn't firing a state trooper, it's her pressuring the commissioner to fire her sister's ex-husband. That sort of thing isn't only illegal, it's just immoral and a blatant abuse of power.

She was not in a position to fire her brother-in-law, but she asked the commissioner who was to fire him. When the commissioner refused to comply with her demands she fired the commissioner when she became governor.

The commissioner did nothing worth being fired over, but Palin dismissed him for not being a "team player."

What this does show about Palin is abuse of power, overreaching of powers, and lack of judgment. Sounds familiar?

Sad attempt to steal away disenchanted Hillary voters & to shore up his flagging conservative base. The important question is whether she is qualified to takeover the presidency should the 72 yr old cancer-prone McCain should keel over dead. Her being mayor of a town of 5000 & a yr & a half of being governor hardly inspires confidence in me seeing how she'll be facing down Russia & Iran. She may help McCain's conservative credentials, but that will also alienate the independents McCain needs.
