  • 8 amps X 12 volts = 96 watts. 96 watts at approx 3.4 BTU per watt = about 325 BTU. Not much heat at all.

  • SHITE

  • Thanks for making this video!!

  • Good video, I just bought odered one for my car yesterday. The heater just stopped working in my car so this was the next best thing.

  • Hi I am interested to buy this product for my car, can you let me know from where I can buy it and how much it will cost

  • whats ur seller name?

  • I have one. Just tried hooking it up to 17 AH SLA battery. I measured 8 amps and 135 Degrees. Works good, but I would need at leat 10 of them to heat my van.

  • Hi, i have a quick question for you. i have a 12 volt 18 Ah SLA battery and i was woundering if i would be able to use the heater using that battery and if it does work, how long will the battery last. thank you.

  • Yes, this heater will work on a 12 Volt 18AH SLA battery. But it will probably only run for an hour or so before the battery is discharged. In theory, you divide the AH of the battery by the Amp draw of the heater. 18 divided by 8 = 2.25 hours. But this is not exactly true in real life, it's more complicated that that. Also, a 12 volt battery is considered totally discharged when it reaches 10.5 volts.

  • @metalmoto about 80 amps of power pulled. Better put in a larger alternator, maybe 250 amp. I also know that they sell a 300w heater that hooks directly to your car, not thru a cigarette lighter. You could also add another battery in series with a cigarette lighter plug, and you could run a modern (less than 10yrs old) electric blanket, since modern ones use 24 volts.

  • 13A * 12V = 156W

    3 hrs and 13A will use 38Ah.

This would be a usual car battery, as long as your solar system could charge it long enough. That depends on the amount of sunlight.

  • if i hook it up to the battery at home powered with solar panel - do you think its a good idea?

  • @DjGisME dont think so, it draws a lot of power, you could better use heat of hot water out of tubes on your roof.

  • @thijsloon how about to use deep cycle battery and 100W solar - free LED lighting and free 12V fan heating (3hrs a day) for the next 20 years

  • fix the sound!

  • good reveiw! Do you think this would defrost my windshield ? I live in NC and it gets cold here 32ish!!! in the mourning. Would it take less than 15 min.?? Plese reply!!! Thanks!!!

  • thanks turk got one not thatgreat

  • how well does it work in the car plugged in can you give it the same infared test while plugged in to the vehicle that would be awesome..

  • Where did u buy this I need to buy one and how much thanks

  • Harbor Freight sales them for 9.99.

  • maybe it's just my computer, but the audio is running slower then the video, maybe my camera is just to junky for this sort of thing? hey, at least I tried :o) ....
