I think this may be the best Final Fantasy villain theme there is.
Anybody else notice that FFI and FF9 are sort of the same? I mean, both of them got the Four Guardian Beasts in Memoria. They both say 'rally ho' in the game. They both speak of crystals and, if you look on the back on ff9's case it says "the crystals return". I wonder if Garland somehow survived and tried to use the Genomes somehow...hmmm...Kuja rocks by the way!
And if you loook even closer, the plot closely resembles Final Fantasy 7. The Mist is supposed to be a source of power for everyday life, like Mako energy. The mist can create terrable monsters, like mako, and the mist was used to create these beasts for world domination, like mako. And the main villain was normald untill he went completely insane and tried to destroy everything. Not making this up, the creators perpusly made the game similar because IX was supposed to be like that.
@hedgehoundable Um I would have to disagree with you on that; Surely Mist was used but only for air travel; and as for the villain that statement is completely and utterly false; Sephiroth had a mental breakdown and decided to destroy the planet to become a god. Kuja was created for the soul purpose of causing mass death in Gaia and he succeeded at that and he did have a melt down but not until near the end of the game and then all he wanted was to live.

@wolfst75 Actually it is really weird, Square can't seem to settle on a name for that song; originally it was called Evil Messenger (in game and on the OST) and then Dark Messenger in Dissidia and then finally The Darkness of Eternity in Dissidia 012; your memory isn't awful at all...its the lack of continuity from Square so don't worry, lol

Back when I first played FF9, I fell in love with this song, and could never find it online anywhere because of all teh FF9 hate when it was first released. When I finally did find a good copy of it, I treasured it forever.

@TheOneOwner OWA isn't even all that great, the music good and the lyrics just repeat themselves, in fact the entire song is just a constant repeat of itself until near the very end. If we want to talk about "Godly Being"'s themes then I would have to say that Kefka's Dancing Mad is much better than OWA, and no, it has nothing to do with the fact that I like Kefka more than Sephiroth it has more to do with the fact that I like boss themes that tell a story, Kefka and Kuja's did, OWA didn't

I posted the above in regards to my own opinion I did not say you were stupid for liking it or implied that OWA wasn't good, it is good but not as great as many other themes in the series, I find "Birth of a God" to be ten times better than OWA and that plays during the fight with Bizzaro Sephiroth...
i dunno ppl..jecht was kinda in a way.. a villan 0.o ..i havent seen him in dissidia cause i played it only 4 times.. but if hes in the game then i guess he does count as a villan
@IzanagiProductions1 the cross dresser part is pretty obvious, and the villain well he wasent a sociopath like sephiroth he blended in more like golbez he didnt just pop out to where he would be noticed by everyone and he destroyed a world and his plans worked out perfectly not to mention he was pretty powerful
A lot of the Final Fantasies liked to juggle last bosses, I've realised. In the first, Garland turns into Chaos. In III Cloud of Darkness took over after you beat Xande. In IV you actually play as Golbez in order to take down Zemus. VII stayed true, only with different forms of Sephiroth. On IX it was just unreal: Garland seems last boss-worthy, only to be killed by Kuja, and then Necron comes out of friggin nowhere after that! And in X, Jecht was arguably not even a villain!

Sephiroth, badass? I actually find sephiroth to be kind of umm tame I guess besides murdering people, to be honest you could say he does nothing himself in the original game (sorry I dont bother with CC), he gets a bunch of clones to do everything because he himself is in a death like state, in all honesty all his plans fail in the end, he doesn't really kill anyone himself (except for Neibleheim incident and that aint badass that's just sick), so I ask of you.
@poketradersuk he has 1 wing and flies with it thats all what matters to become badass aslo has a sword longer than your table oh and long hair (Anime/game rule#1 the longer your hair is the stronger you are)
@poketradersuk Well in the game he's incredibly powerful (flashbacks and controlling people from a distance), and he creates such a powerful presence for such little screen time. Beyond that, he isn't truly badass in the game, although he is a very interesting antagonist. In Advent Children (Complete!) he is much more badass. He lords over Cloud after stabbing him and then taunting him. He has lines like "on your knees; I want you to beg for forgiveness." He's much more badass in this version.

There's no argument to be had, Sephiroth however fucked with the protagonist(s) a lot which made him memorable, but in terms of power he was shit in comparison to villains like Kefka/Kuja.
Kuja was asexual, calling ''him'' gay.. i honestly can't come up with anything that conveys how little sense that makes.

@Remnainsofbattle Nah, Ultemecia is a cooler villan. Besides, Seifer and Sqall's fighting styles are WAY too similar (they both weild the gunblade) and all the characters in the game had to have unique fighting styles.

Sephiroth, badass? I actually find sephiroth to be kind of umm tame I guess besides murdering people, to be honest you could say he does nothing himself in the original game (sorry I dont bother with CC), he gets a bunch of clones to do everything because he himself is in a death like state, in all honesty all his plans fail in the end, he doesn't really kill anyone himself (except for Neibleheim incident and that aint badass that's just sick), so I ask of you.

@poketradersuk Well in the game he's incredibly powerful (flashbacks and controlling people from a distance), and he creates such a powerful presence for such little screen time. Beyond that, he isn't truly badass in the game, although he is a very interesting antagonist. In Advent Children (Complete!) he is much more badass. He lords over Cloud after stabbing him and then taunting him. He has lines like "on your knees; I want you to beg for forgiveness." He's much more badass in this version.

@EvilDarkJackel Kuja nearly reversed existence, and was the first (that i know of) to actually kill the protagonist and his entire team.
Sephiroth destroyed a town and killed some girl.
There's no argument to be had, Sephiroth however fucked with the protagonist(s) a lot which made him memorable, but in terms of power he was shit in comparison to villains like Kefka/Kuja.
Kuja was asexual, calling ''him'' gay.. i honestly can't come up with anything that conveys how little sense that makes.

@EvilDarkJackel given Sephiroth dealt SIGNIFICANT damage to the planet, he only scareed it not destroyed, whereas Kuja destroyed the entire planet of Terra with just opening his hands, survived a head on MEGAFLARE PEOPLE and almost extinguished the UNIVERSE by destroying the crystal, it's pretty obvious who the better villain is...

@espadalord what exactly am I supposed to be reading with my eyes? Also, you cannot say that Kuja survived (there is absolutely no mention of him in the end and the last time we saw him he was near death). In my opinion, Kuja definitely died and Sephiroth can come back whenever given the right circumstances ( Jenova cells, etc.). I don't think Kuja can come back and that in and of itself means that Sephiroth is much more BA. btw everyone's a momma's boy, moms are awesome lol.

@KazeKage572 Technically, Dissidia 2 hasn't even been thought up yet. Dissidia 012 is actually supposed to be a prequel to the events of the first Dissidia, the twelfth cycle of the conflict between Cosmos and Chaos to which the first Dissidia is the thirteenth cycle. In other words, a prequel.

@Remnainsofbattle Nah, Ultemecia is a cooler villan. Besides, Seifer and Sqall's fighting styles are WAY too similar (they both weild the gunblade) and all the characters in the game had to have unique fighting styles.
