In UK certainly where I live, we have to recycle by law. We have a bin for food, bin for bottles, bin for paper, and bin for other things.

Great vid as usual. I gotta say though, I think you're pointing your finger in the wrong direction a bit on the recycling thing. Honestly, recycling doesn't actually save that much energy. What we should be doing is forcing the companies who manufacture non-bio-degradeable packing and products to make things that are environmentally sound. The easiest solution is NOT to make the trash in the first place. How about a little corporate responsibility? I never "made" any plastic at my house....

I think one thing people don't realize is that lots of the plastic we put into the recycling bin never gets recycled. I'm not saying to stop putting it there, but try to use less of it. Aluminum soda cans cost a bit more than say a 2 Liter plastic bottle, but there's a much better chance those cans will be recycled. Plus you save on dish detergent which may also conatin petroleum products.

You are right, but it depends on where you live, not all systems work the same.

However, you do raise a very good point when you say that we should "try to use less of it".

That is the real root of the problem, as long as businesses can make a profit off manufacturing waste, they will continue to be wastefull. I do not believe that recycling is the magic solution, but it is something that we can all do in the meantime to reduce the impact of our wastefull methods.

Absolutely. I also encourage people to look at buying milk and juice in cardboard containers. The mere fact that are opaque means the light has done less damage to the vitamins inside. Oh, and take notice of the expiration dates on organic products. I can buy 3x as much milk at a time, saving me shopping trips, if I buy organic which generally lasts longer. I have no idea why.

I must have warp mind! sometimes I try to guess how many compatc pushes it will take to get an item out of sight. Then I see something and wonder why the house owners didn't take it to Goodwill. Guess it was easier to trash it. LOL Good video. Your video's always remind me of Dad. However, when you include that leg in one, it upgrades the value of watching it tremendously.

People must be either stupid or illitarit to be placing the wrong items in recycle & green waste carts. Most recycle carts at my place have big recycle stickers on them saying what can and cannot be placed into the recycle bin, and i still see bags of garbage in recycle carts regardless if it has a recycle sticker. With idiots complaining that their carts weren't emptied just makes things worse for the driver who discovered the contaminated cart..

i got one for ya last week my guy has too comeback too monday's route cause they claim trash wasnt picked up not his fault since he took monday off so we roll up on the house and there is nothing out so he calls dispatch they call the customer no answer he tells me 5 weeks in a row they called saying trash wasnt picked up he was pissed im gonna kick somebodys ass if they pull that shit again
