  • Hi.. we spent New Years Eve moored at the Swan and woke New Years Day to find all the ice! managed to get our boat back to Barton Turns thanks t a narrow boat acting as an ice breaker in front of us.. we are a GRP boat! good fun nevertheless

  • We left Fradley on Saturday 26 Dec - 1 week early and passedd a GRP boat on the way down - dont suppose it was you ? Brave of you -it was bad enough with a steel hull !!

  • Hi again.. reckon it could have been us.. we took our boat out for a boxing day chug from Barton turns to fradley (about 2.30pm). No problem with ice from the Turns to Wychnor lock.. went through Wychnor lock and onto the river section but turned round before Alrewas lock upon the advice of a passing narrow boat.. I bet that was you guys. After mooring the boat we took the car to Alrewas and Fradley and photographed the ice sheets.. really spectacular! get in touch if you want some photos
