one thing about ballooning is that when people see these vids it turns them off of ballooning right away, but if u think about it there are how many car crashes a day and people still ride in cars. I have been ballooning for a while and i have never seen anything like this in person and also the last clip is not a crash it's a deflation.

The 1st clip clearly shows a fuel line that became disconnected.

The 2nd clearly illustrates why you are never suppose to burn while hitting the ground, and you always look up.

Yeah, you can see him escape and on fire a little when the balloon hits. This happened in Japan at the Honda World Finals. He should have been watching his desent rate, but again it's easy to be the armchair quarter back and say he should of done something. Lol, at least it helps to show what not to do when near the ground, and what to do if you hit the ground. (Get out!)

If you mean the one where it was deflated and wasn't shown hitting the ground first before going back up again, there was one person onboard and he died, I remember that clip from the news. Poor guy was on the radio talking to his wife all the way down too. :(

Yeah, but he didn't die until he got to the hospital, would've hurt a lot too.

Appariently the parachute (top of the balloon) wasn't supported to well and caved in, deflating the balloon and sending him to the ground. The balloon did slow down his fall, but not too much, killing him.
