I played this on an emulator and was actually surprised because it didnt have the same problems as ooze and alfredo as far as jumping, maybe its different on the console for some reason? also the "sharp corners" are actually you missing the platform and dying in mid-air from fall damage. When the enemies come from the bottom, if you time it right you can still kill them. Also if you touch that block on the 3rd level boss, you go to the first level without killing the boss. As for the chains idk.

I actually think Haunted Halls / Haunted Hill / Haunted Piece of Shit (Yeah, that's the best name) is the best game on this cartridge because you can actually kill the enemies unlike in Ooze. Also, that woman has big tits :-D

I think Haunted Hills/Halls is actually the 2nd best on the cart, since they at least made it look better than most others. That's not saying much, though.

I applaud your ability to actually finish Sharks. I didn't know there was an end to it, I thought level 2 just never ended. The game over screen never has looked so good, I bet. No more of that DOW-DUDU-DOW-DUDU-SQUEEEE music.

Ok for anyone who thinks I'm saying ALL NES games suck. Yes, there are good ones. There's just so much cheddar and just plain crap that it doesn't even out.

So good games list:

Contra, Desert Commander, Zelda 1 and 2,

Crystalis, TMNT 2 and 3, Super Mario bros 3,

Megaman 1-3, Final fantasy, Dragon warrior 1-4, monopoly, Pool Of Radiance, Dragon Strike, Overlord and The Guardian Legend. The only good sports games I know of for NES is Built To Win and Pro wrestling.

There 23 good games.

believe it or not, nes does have a few good games. for an estimate I'd say 1 out of every 500 titles. The tradeoff is suposed to be that the few good games kick ass and they do. But for every game that kicks ass, there's 499 that suck ass.

The reason the character in Haunted Halls appears to die from a sharp platform corner is because the physics engine used for the platformers in Action 52 mean that if you fall too far (which in this game means more than a jump's worth), then you die in mid-air. Which is another reason why this game is so horrible and hilarious.

P.S. I really liked this review; too funny. I can't wait to watch the Genesis Action 52 review; does it suck just as bad as the NES version?
