I don't know where you live, but I tried like crazy the indoor route with very little success. Then one day, I tried outdoors, and ignored the directions. Supposedly, you're allowed a certain amount of plants with this new law. I love gardening anyway. I must say, it's actually very rewarding to nurture your own MJ plants. As I watched them grow through the summer, I would take some leaves off and dry them in the oven. As soon as I saw the male plants...they sprout small pods with pollen...I took them out and baked them in the oven.
Then I topped my female plant to grow more buds...but only 6 times.
The best part was in the middle of November when the female plants would start to grow fuzzy hair, and all of this thick liquid resin would start covering the fuzz. You could smell my plants from down the street when the resin came out.
I ended up with about 40 fat, sticky, juicy buds from 8 plants.
You have to get the sticky buds and resin before they begin to dry.
Half my harvest, I rubbed the buds on a screen and made hash. In Asia they cure hash with opium.
Growing it in the US as easy as growing a flower. Making heroin here is just as easy. Since its not a big problem yet since small amounts are being made its something the law is not focusing on unless they get tips. Same goes with cocaine. Smuggling coca leaves to the US then making it here is so much easier.

Drugs are prescribed. There must be many sick people self medicating. It is a choice so is being drug free. Some are ill and would choose to be drug free than ill. What is their purpose of illicit opium? Does opium enslave people? Does this slave revue fund "the bad guys"? If people stopped buying opium the "bad guys" would not be able to buy bullets and military supplies that kill North Americans and our allies and friends. Some addictions are funding the war.

I would also suggest that perhaps opium is far more profitable, thus putting more food on the table for their families than over-hyped inefficient technology. regardless the Afghanis are far from free as long as they choose to be ruled over by tyrannical governments. of course they didn't have much choice whether or not to be invaded by a foreign army (we gave them a good taste of what WE call freedom, majorityocracy); armed aggression solves nothing.

I only know this from growing my own in the 70's.
I don't know where you live, but I tried like crazy the indoor route with very little success. Then one day, I tried outdoors, and ignored the directions. I planted in the middle of Feb, and with morning sun and afternoon shade. BINGO! I had 8 beautiful plants by Nov. Oh Man! I loved the smell of the buds in November: Like fresh pine and skunk combined. I live in Arizona. Have kids now, so can't grow.

Supposedly, you're allowed a certain amount of plants with this new law. I love gardening anyway. I must say, it's actually very rewarding to nurture your own MJ plants. As I watched them grow through the summer, I would take some leaves off and dry them in the oven. As soon as I saw the male plants...they sprout small pods with pollen...I took them out and baked them in the oven.
Then I topped my female plant to grow more buds...but only 6 times.

Home grown...
The best part was in the middle of November when the female plants would start to grow fuzzy hair, and all of this thick liquid resin would start covering the fuzz. You could smell my plants from down the street when the resin came out.
I ended up with about 40 fat, sticky, juicy buds from 8 plants.
You have to get the sticky buds and resin before they begin to dry.
Half my harvest, I rubbed the buds on a screen and made hash. In Asia they cure hash with opium.

Growing it in the US as easy as growing a flower. Making heroin here is just as easy. Since its not a big problem yet since small amounts are being made its something the law is not focusing on unless they get tips. Same goes with cocaine. Smuggling coca leaves to the US then making it here is so much easier.

Opium revenue is killing our soldiers. Does alcohol or cigarette revenue killing our soldiers?

@killerkrew23 The Saddam regime started a war. Our soldiers were asked to help. Then 9/11 happened and our soldiers were again called upon to help.
i do not see how they are "killing themselves"? i do understand that the revenue from opium is going to buy military supplies that are used to kill our soldiers. If we eradicate the opium then we eradicated the revenue stream that buys supplies to kill our soldiers.
The good news is that Afghanistan can choose other industries.

Like the saying goes it is better to show a man to fish than to give him fish.
The Afghan people are very capable of learning. They have fought for their freedom to choose and they have chosen solar technology to help get into a peaceful future.

If you do a search on Afghan Solar you will find their web site. This is a better industry than war and exporting illicit opium.
