  • piccolo trumpet pwns. i dnt own one but i own a Bflat and its still fun. this song is fun to play too. im thinking bout doing it for senior year for band in highschool. i could play it this year my sophmore year but i hate playing infront of people

  • @jdistel13 wow thats really good if you can play this all the way through yourr sophmore year. I'm a freshmen and my chops are dying about 3/4 into it

  • Oh My Gosh. Absolutely incredible. Piccolo trumpet rocks!!

  • tho maybe a bit hectic, tremendous facility

  • Phenomenal! Love it!

    5 STARS!

    RagJazzMonkey Tom

  • 2 years later, looking at this video, after having 2 more years of trumpet under my belt, I am astounded at this video. I thought it was great back then, but now it's AMAZING, because I can notice all these other things they are doing that makes it so insane.

  • WOW.....super clean and a fast tempo too.

  • Very, very good!

  • chhh...asians. i thought trumpet was one thing they didn't dominate...;P :D

  • my favorite version!!

  • what kind of trumpets do they have?

  • Where can I get this arrangement?!?! Please someone let me know!! PLEASE! I would really love to play this arrangement on my recital in the spring! I have the instrumentation, I just need the arrangement. Thank you for letting me know anyone!

  • Outstanding!!! These guys have some serious talent. 5 stars to ya!!

  • the piccolo trumpet player is damn good.

  • the pic trumpet is awesome. hahaha.

  • outstanding

  • omg this is awesome! and totally amazing! i only wish i was even half that good!

  • I played this back in elementary

    of course an easier version

arranged for a 20 person ensemble

    this is terrific

  • This video reminds me that I suck at double tounging.

  • hahaha thats what SHE SAID!!!! lol but i seriously suck too

  • thats cuz it's so hard ! :p

  • haha dont worry i suck at double tounging too!!

  • i'm trying to get used to double tonguing too :(

  • yeah me 6... its hard lol

  • it might be a bass trumpet seeing as how it the international TRUMPET guild

  • looks and sounds like a mellophone to me...

  • You're all wrong. Does the word marching baritone mean anything to you? Bass trumpet, honestly.

  • Its a bass trumpet. This is a legit show, they wouldn't use marching instruments. Plus that is just what it is.

  • well there are other parts for this music.. like baritones have one and trombones but anyways the piccolo trumpet player is amazing!

  • Wow, i've never seen a bass trumpet before!

    Kinda redundant in my opinion.

  • flawless. that was incredible

  • What a great performance. I have never seen this done live before. Simply wonderful!

  • Fantastic!

  • That's amazing!

  • that are all tumpets. my music group plays this song.

  • You're an idiot. There's a trombone on the right and a piano at the back. What do you mean by they are all trumpets? The trombone sound is so obvious.

  • sorry my bad. I'm the idiot. its a bass trumpet. haha. should have watched finished the whole clip before commenting. My bad..

  • ur all retards this song is called buglers holiday. their all trumpets. i have the music TRust me

  • i think it's flugelhorn...

  • great

  • that is not actually a trombone, they wouldnt be called the trumpet guild if they had a trombone would they? It's actually a Bass Trumpet, it has the tubing of a Trombone, but is held like a trumpet, so it is a trumpet. I believe the order of instruments for trumpet in this video, right to left is: Bass Trumpet, B flat Trumpet, B flat Tumpet, B flat Trumpet, Picolo Trumpet (which is probably why it sounds like a clarinet at some points).

    Great video :D

  • This song is wonderful!

    I love it!

And it looks like an trombone at the rigt side :D

  • I like what they do by adding a piccolo trumpet and a bass trumpet in the mix.

  • Where's the Fire? The Baritone trio of CellBlock seven had the best tempo of HOLIDAY. This made one a little exhausted!

  • its a bass trumpet

  • Fantastic, best I've heard too, Congratulations

  • Rofl... Zi. Anyone? Sorry, having an 02jam moment here.

    Sounds

  • Rushed it.

  • thts what makes it sweet...

  • It shows how fast they can play, not how well they can play.

  • Leroy Anderson would be proud to hear this performance of his song. These musicians captured the spirit of the piece.

  • Holy shit.

    *In complete AWE*

  • what's the big instrument on the right?

  • a trombone

  • It looks like a bass trumpet to me.

  • BEST ONE IVE HEARD!!

  • This is realy fun to hear! The best version on youtue!!! I'm playing it to... But I wish i had a piccolotrumpet! Anyone who have one for sale??

  • I wish I went with my friend to ITG in Rowan University... Man... Even though Im a Horn player, I wouldve loved to go in.

  • Posibly my favorite recording of this on youtube.

The guy on the pic was incredible.

  • crazy japanese!!! keep up the good work

  • my favorite part was the dancing.

  • Sublime is where you find it, isn't it? Who would've guessed...a herky-jerky video...a little dance routine...a few itinerant Japanese buglers...and triple tonguing through the ceiling! On a frosty Beijing evening, this warms one up more than a mug of Brazil's finest. Just great!

  • Well said. You are exactly on the nose.

  • A Bb6 Would've fit very nicely at the end.

  • I'm pretty new to You tube, and I meant to respond to a question by a previous poster. I had no intention of posting an "ebay ad" here. My apologies to everyone.

  • finally, a group besides boston brass that shows off ther double toungue..

  • this is astonishingly good! by the way, i am planning to purchase a new trumpet, maybe a bach stradvarius, and i want to know a few good places to buy used instruments. Anyone?

  • I've got an Opera. Bot it about '67 I'd guess. It hasn't been used 30 years. I never got good enough to take full advantage of what it had to offer. I've also got a Bach D, and I didn't even get close to being able to master that. It takes serious horsepower. Which means it's virtually new.

  • DAMN! THEY'RE CRAZY GOOD!

  • oh god.. this is excellent.

  • Some friends of mine and I played that piece last year at solo and ensemble. Not that fast though. I hope soon I'll be able to play it that clean. Good job!

  • WOO!! I love that piece!! (Bugler's holiday) I play it in Brass Band, but no QUITE that fast lol.

    Wicked x

  • I wish i could play better like that..

    Though they are prosfessionals.

  • wow tight as... i couldnt keep up that double tonguing for long..

  • "Bunglers" Holiday as we called it in school.

  • wow, nick ciulla sucks compared to all them. this video is so fucking awesome.

  • wow they did an amazing job! holy crap i could never play all those fast notes. lol

  • nice sound

  • acutally when i listend to the whole thing was sweet srry for the negative comment

  • nice playing but my friend jordan who is a freshmen and his other trumpet friends could blow u out of the water, srry but its true

  • uhhh....yeah....because these guys aren't paid professionals or anything...

  • nither is jordan and his friends

  • videos? unless u have videos to prove that "freshman" are better than paid, world class trumpeters. please dont make statements like that. it just shows your ignorant because your friends with someone who has a wee bit of talent that is exaggerated upon. oh and this piece isnt that hard so if ur basing their "skill"on this song your are dumb. thank you. bbl to own u again.

  • ill put them on youtube then what now

    oed

    fasdf [

    ps adnfoasdfljasdlf jsdlfj lska jflsdjf

  • I would be a lot better if the pic dude wasn't fracking the top note of every arpeggio. He kind of kills it... and gets them out of sync in the bridge.

  • yeahhhhhh! Buglers Holiday!

  • wow i didn't know they would post this on you tube. but that's me on the piccolo trumpet on the left hand side.

  • No double C!? WTF?

  • this is awesome

  • Excellent!

  • . . . im going to jump under a bus now. . .

i wish i could dance like that. .

they make it look so easy to take this so much faster than its supposed to be. .

  • hehe i played this a few years back. its a reallllly fun song and not that hard as long as you can double tounge.

  • i agree with u. but so far, of all bands ive heard, i love Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra the most. they r the best.

  • I never heard this piece arranged for this type of ensemble. It works so well!! Love how the added the piccolo trumpet and low brass. Perfect to let the piccolo tag the high note at the end instead of the Bb player LOL.

  • They're not rushing. That's how fast it's supposed to be played.

  • no Eb?

  • Dayum!!!

  • They're rushing a bit. But hell, I rushed when I played this.

  • thats pretty great.

  • does sound picollo or atleast on a C trumpet, but still flawless playing, i played this and the double tonguing is tricky when your n00b like myself =D

  • who cares there japanese and there fecking amazing, woooooo

  • That is actually a Piccolo Trumpet keyed in either Bb or A. Notice that the tone is "thinner" than the other trumpets and the size of the horn is drastically smaller. Also, he is typically an octave higher than the other players.

  • he is right its a C trumpet

  • How can u tell that that's a C trumpet? There's never a close-up!

  • stop rushing .. tsk tsk.. you're making the pianist angry!

  • they're not rushing, the pianist is going way to slow for this piece

  • Yeah, they are going way slow for the song. I have heard this performed by a pro band. It seems almost impossible to triple tongue like that. Yay for trumpets!

  • first of all.. these guys are all professionals.. and second of all, its double tonguing.. not triple.. so your response is officially discredited.

  • wow, pretty good players

  • I love that video. Very good trumpet players. Well done

  • which song is this? And could anyone plss write a link with trumpet videos?

  • It's Bugler's Holiday.

  • man those trumpets are gangsta

  • WOW..........prooooooooooos

  • nice improv part on the C trumpet. never heard of that being done.

  • im amazed by the tounging and articulation of these players.WOW!

  • Super trumpet playing. Much, much better that another video here with three others playing.

  • Damn these guys are pro, Trumpets rule.

  • kool song i didnt know waht it was haha thank sfor saying it in the deescription haha

  • that is friggen sweet, they are awesome trumpet players!! Trumpet is a really good insturment...
