  • really now, what are chances of a sword attack?

  • This is dreaming in real fighting. It is impossible using bare hands to fight against a Swordman. Don't even think it. If someone think he can, he is an idiot.

  • It is a demonstration of what is possible. Not a recommendation! "Real Fighting" facing a swordsman is rather unlikely today. Pirates and their ilk now carry 9mm semi-automatics these days! LOL

  • I agree with Janstan, the way of ANY martial arts is not to fight against someone with a weapon, but to avoid them at all costs.

Now, if the guy had a sword, then you could dodge him (depending on the attack) and POSSIBLY use any of those movements that the sensei displayed in the video.

    OR

you can simply use whats around you, like a rock or a stick and throw it at the person, then get away.

    Its pretty obvious.

  • I agree, sure put a sword in the hands of a 13 year old average untrained youth and a trained expert could probably win. But its enough to train something like kendo 2-3 times and no martial artist will beat the swordsman.

As soon as the swordman got the hang of how to use the extra range to his advantage and keep the unarmed advesary out of range its over.

  • Shuffleblade- U ar just at age 20, but having a good logical mind and brain. U will be a good Martist because of YRS WISDOM.

The best way is to run away. The master in the film should teach his students to run as fast as possible, not to teach any movements to fight against the armed. The people around will learn from the master. A wrong concept in the mind will lead them to face the armed when special suitation occurs. I hope that the people around are all intelligent persons.
