However, as many have said, and I will reiterate, they enjoyed watching the rest of the parade and cheered every band and float as they passed. The Governor had about a 5-10 minute gap between the rest of the parade and himself. Many in the protest were normal citizens and not part of any union. They were there fighting for democracy and the rights of all of Michigan's citizens.

@neeneecee. Yes, the protesters followed him the entire length of the Benton Harbor part of the parade. However, as many have said, and I will reiterate, they enjoyed watching the rest of the parade and cheered every band and float as they passed. The Governor had about a 5-10 minute gap between the rest of the parade and himself. Many in the protest were normal citizens and not part of any union. They were there fighting for democracy and the rights of all of Michigan's citizens.

The citizens of Benton Harbor giving Gov. Rick Snyder a warm welcome after one of his "Emergency Financial Managers" threw out the local elected officials and took over the town government. Too bad they forgot to dumpster dive for rotten fruit. As the comments indicate, the demonstrators dispersed after his appearance and did not further disrupt the celebration. Free speech at it's best!

This is supposed to be the Blossomtime Parade not protesters parade. This was not appropriate. The parade was ruined for all the high school bands that practiced so hard to perform. The people who put the their hearts and souls into the event did not deserve this. SHAME ON YOU!
