originaly there was no story behind the transformers. in Japan they were just random toys made to look cool. then a US company saw a chance to market them in the US and made up a cartoon to explain what they were

wrong look up go-bots a old cartoon that never copyrighted the theme of transforming cars and other varios stuff

that has nothing to do with what I said. I never said they were the first to do transforming robots. just that the original toys had no plot. not until the tv series was made

Eh...Challenge of the Go-Bots was a flunk, there weren't actual robots either but cyborgs (they had organics stuff in them or so), Transformers came a bit later and was more successful cause frankly said it looked a whole lot better.

I heard they only planed on making three episodes to explain the toys to kids but it was so popular they just kept going. If you watch th third episode it talks about it being the exciting conclusion.

man, I still have my grimlock figure from the 80's I'm missing the 2 plastic pieces from his back though, should've took care of him better. He went through many battles with the Decipticons though, haha.

That commercial is from the mid-seventies. Can you imagine that kid in the commercial is about 40 yrs by now...and most ppl that watched TF in the 80s remember it as yesterday. It wasn't that long ago because time flies. I still feel like a kid.

My G1 Grimlock arrives this week. Finally got him after 2 decades :) My Swoop should arrive soon also, which means I have all the Dinobots. I'm going to review Swoop and Grimlock this week if I have time.
