This pond is part of a rain water run off that leads to a culvert at the deepest part.Its very unassuming when you first look at it.The hill that you have to climb to get out is pretty steep and slants towards the right which tends to pull you back into the water if you don't have enough momentum.Don't attempt this during the wet rainy season in a stock vehicle.

if he shut it off, you can drain the oil pan and take the plugs out, then see if she cranks. If it does, turn the motor over until all the water is pushed out of the cylinders. Then, dry off your ignition system, reinstall your oil pan and plugs, and it should be ok! hope isnt all lost when the motor is submerged...

i admit the blazer didn't pull worth a shit. needs gears. looks like the axle came off its dowel pin. my 76 blazer has a dana 44 front and gm 12 bolt rear, 350/th350, should be able to pull on that all day and not break. u should have used a chain to pull on the durango. that is if he has a rear receiver.

A Durango can make an decent off-road vehicle. I've been able to get around well in mine (2" lift & BFG A/T's) - it's been places that many people wouldn't take their Jeep or "tough" vehicle. Good tires can make a huge difference in how things go.
