  • Wow this car sucks fuck you

  • Thats SICK

  • u need a oil change. =)

  • why would you raise your limiter so high, thats not safe

  • @Aldo586 youre an idiot. this aint an american car. these cars can safely rev up to 10k rpm's without detonation.

  • @btrak08 are you fucking idiot thats not the point, the idea is to launch at a safe rpm, to not fuck up differential and other parts. Besides launching at this rpm will have you spinning unnecessary keeping you in the same spot. Good luck with your car lasting if you keep revving it up like that like a moron.

  • @btrak08 rookie motherfucker

  • LAUNCH VIDEO NOW!

  • yeah.... good stuff for rear-wheel/ awd but for front wheel the best launch you kinda ride the clutch a bit. If you dump the clutch at 7k your just going to spin tires and watch the taillights of the guy beside you.

  • ok now make a video of you doin that push in theclutch 1st gear and floor it lmaoo lets see what you got

  • poor clutch launching at this rpm!

  • you have to change your oil :D

  • Yeah that's a bit high, mine's set to 4

  • umm wayyyyy toooo high...try like 3200 rpm bud

  • This might be a stupid question i have a dc5 and if i were to get this would i have to tune it on the computer or jus plug n play

  • launch control is a bit high, you have it so high there is no point of having it?

  • buddys gunna be spinning off the line with a rev limiter after VTEC, so stupid! lol

  • I love that intake sound

  • Set your limiter lower, you will just be burning out even with slicks at that high of rpm.

  • put that shit to 8k with some slicks and ud be putting downnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • peak torque on a STOCK K20Z3 is @ 6200 rpm So it makes sense to me why the launch limiter is set so high.

  • hey can anyone tell me what does this launch limiter do?

  • why the check engine lite?

  • @xxnissansilviaxx

    oil change.

  • hit that vtec.

  • thats nice and all, but why pay money when i can rev like that by myself? in order to "control the launch", the rpm's would need to be lower... otherwise a waste of money in my opinion.

  • @lockheed08 because this way instead of having to find the sweet spot of barely putting your foot on the throttle to sit at 6k or wherever you wanted, you can now just put your foot to the floor and it holds it where you set it until you let the clutch out...

  • @maddmatt02 ok your right about both those reasons, but the purpose of the limiter being low is to achieve the highest possible power with the lowest possible wheelspin. Spinning up the turbo like that will result in wheelspin which can cost u a race. Your reasons don't apply to racing from a stop, but from a roll your perfectly right

  • @lockheed08 racing from a roll you wouldnt use a launch limiter at all, but to get boost up you could brake-boost, which would just involve holding the brake a little to stop from accelerating while you are applying more throttle to spool up the turbo. and have you ever been to the track, it is way sticker than you would think, first time I took my civic I bogged it hard in 1st. then I overcompensated and spun a little much in first the next run. not saying the RPM he chose is best though.

  • @lockheed08 and also if you had a turbo, more air in = more air out = faster spinning turbo...

if you are BARELY on the throttle (and you barely have to be in neutral to rev) and are holding at 6k, alot less air is going through the engine than if you have the throttle plate wide open, so when you finally do dump the clutch the turbo is already spinning alot faster than launching your way

  • @maddmatt02 Thats why the make a thing called fuel and ignition cut. Instead of cutting just fuel at the launch limiter, it cuts the ignition too making the turbo spool off the line.

  • why the service wrench light is on?

  • 7k is way too much try 4.5k

  • dude wont that = more wheel spin which might = slower times? or do you just wanna fry the shyt out of tires. (launching from such high rpm)

  • wtf why would u set it so damn high!

  • why set it so high?

  • well for one stock redline on an si is 8. 2 the vtec system engages at 6. with a chip u can lower it and increase redline so it only prevents folks from blowing their motor

  • Facepalm...oil life doesn't mean shit on these cars. U have to reset it every oil change and ppl get lazy to reset them. Only oil monitor anyone should need is a fuckin dipstick.

  • Not a launch limiter. Its a limiter to protect the vtec system from being enabled when you are in neutral.

  • that's not what this clip is showing. You are referring to the factory stationary limiter @ about 5500 rpm. With HONDATA FlashPro u can change that limiter like this person did.. Although I have no idea why he set it so high. It's useless to launch at such high rpms you'll just fry the tires.. 0_o

  • I have an FN2 (euro R) and the limiter for the protection of vtec is set @ 4500 (in neutral ofc). Definetely not a lauch system cause the car doesn't launch if you dump the clucth @ that rpm. You 're off the line with 3000-3500 if you do that. Anyway anything over 5000 will definetely fry the tires on public roads!

  • well the FA5 and FG2 (US Si) have the limiter at 5500 rpm in neutral. I'm just saying that the FlashPro that he is using with his ecu allows him to remove that limiter. Just like it let's him lower the vtec engagement window and extend the rev limiter past 8000 (US standard). It's not a factory system, that's all I'm tryna say :hiding:

  • dude that sounds soooo fuckin sick lol

idk about launching that high but shit is so sick

  • WOW thats tight.. that sounds sooo good !

  • yeah 0% oil life

  • No one revs a car like that in neutral. VERY bad for the engine.

  • It's not even at the redline (6600RPM), and even if it were, all cars, Hondas especially are engineered to handle abuse. That's what rev limiters are for. They protect the engine from over revving and causing damage.

  • gradiencex.. I agree with you BUT its still harmful to the engine to rev it in neutral.

  • how bout an oil change lol sick vid though

  • why are you set to launch at 7k? do you have some 18 inch wide tires on the front of that thing??

  • cool

  • what are your launch limiter settings

  • pritty sick dude

  • oh man if u have drag radials, this thing is gonna pull some nasty 0-60 times

  • @praetorian2150 why? because it makes cool noises? lol... cool rev limiters doesn't mean cool drag times.

  • @ghettodriftmonkey1 acually it does.....its basically launch control.....and basically....thats all there is too drag racing...if u have terrible traction.....ur times are gonna suckk

  • @oaeproductions Again, as I said. Cool noises doesn't mean cool drag times. I could throw a rev limiter on a 1G-FE Mark II , being a straight six it'd sound quite cool. Plus it would have one cool limiter. By going what you're saying. If I put drag radials on it, it would do some nasty 0-60 times. Right?

  • @ghettodriftmonkey1 nooo...the other guy said nasty 0-60 times....not me lol

  • thats a pretty high launch

  • that shit mad me cum all over the computer screen

  • why the wrench lighT?

  • wrench light is just a maintenance reminder.u have to press all sorts of buttons to get it off.alot of do it yourselfers have it on

  • wow very nice

  • lmao... better than HONDAta?? that's funny... Cobb has great performance stuff... but Honda tuning I trust Hondata with...

  • love it

  • you would.:gaygiggle:

  • yup :iorun:
