When I was in Afghanistan in 2010, one of the most heart-clenching experiences I had was after a firefight near the city of Kandahar. A young Marine's best buddy had been hit with an RPG, and the wounded soldier died in the young Marine's arms. After the fighting stopped, that young Marine came staggering to me with his buddy's dogtags, and he started to cry his eyes out on my shoulder. Hello, I am 14 years old and my Father and brother were both serving with the British army in Afghanistan :( And sadly I lost both of them on the same day, Nobody respects them or even shows that they cared for them, we dont have ceramonies like this in England. I try so hard to carry on with life and move on but I cant! I am failing everything at school and miss them terrably and really want to sign up when I leave school but my mother wont let me. She said she cant loose me.RIP dad and brother

If it helps, try to remember that in ceremonies in the United States, we remember and honor soldiers from all of our ally countries, not just soldiers from our own.
