  • Beautiful. I'm misty-eyed.

  • Great work, keep it up Chris.

  • Great story!

  • Great work but I strangely knew what was gonna happen as soon as I saw the rose on the bench. Psychic moment. XD

  • Amazing story Chris, this is one of your most powerful films yet, along with "Choice." I agree with the comments below, it shows you don't need some huge budget to make a really great film. nice work!

  • @Jbauerfan08 thanks

  • Very impressive short with an extremely important message.

  • Great one Dude!

  • Nice...

  • This was simply excellent. Well done!

  • I think the bad picture quality makes the emotional aspect and the "every day life" flavour even stronger!

    I like it...

  • This is excellent! Chris, this is me, Sean... Wow what a kick to this story...

  • another well done piece...keep cranking out the original work

  • This was a great story Chris. I really enjoyed it. & Even though the quality wasn't very good, the amazing storyline and the emotions overly expressed the quality, greatly. By the end of this short movie, I cried my eyes out. This was very touching and showed how we should learn to appreciate our lives better than we actually do. Your awesome Chris, keep up the amazing work :) xoxo Lindsee

  • @MidnightInspiration thanks lindsee. youre awesome too.

  • @blinky500 aw thanks :)

  • great twist man

  • What a twist .

  • What a twist . !!!!

  • I loved this movie, your movies are really a classic. Hollywood should really give you call.

  • Bravo

  • Qwesome

  • This is the first thing of yours that i really watched since I was little and watched the finished project of the baby punisher video I helped you with. I must say Chris, you have come a long way. I remember growing up seeing you filming something and being like "oh cool! Chris is filming something again! I hope I see it someday!" I must say, you will go even further I think. keep it up :)

  • This just goes to show, you don't have to have millions updon billions of dollars to make a fantastic piece of art of a film. The story is fantastic and the acting is precise. Fantastic moral/message delivered to the audience. Chris, like usual, and you deserve these compliments coming your way. You deserve a chance in directing for a studio, no matter how much they pay you. You certainly created an awesome portfolio with the projects you post on YouTube. Keep up the awesome work Chris and Cast.

  • @sephimour thank you very much.

  • @blinky500 Top marks, sir. Great work. Really very touching' actually, I love the cast.

Out of curiosity, how much does it cost to shoot something like this? The production always looks like gold, so I can't help wondering.

  • @tonystark106422 this movie set me back about 39 dollars. 18 on chase's wardrobe, 12 on the roses and 9 on train fare.

  • @blinky500 Haha. Sorry; dumb question.

  • Nice short. Sound is very clear for something shot in a public park. How'd you get tom selleck?

  • @trettfilms lol

  • Lovely and touching with a spot-on central message about appreciating life

  • Amazing drama, keep going strong Chris,i hope many, many more people give you the respect

    you should have.

For me your the best film maker there was,is and ever will be.

  • @redix700 thank you.

  • This is amazing! I thought originally that the girlfriend was the one that was dead but then he said "Tell her I say Thank you." Then I was like Awwwww. *Sends video to all her friends*

The black and style you shot in also set the perfect mood. Great job!

  • Hope your spirit flies Chris you're the best at what you do.

  • Good stuff Chris. ;)

  • Excellent. Well written, well executed little story in a box. I'm sorry you had so much trouble filming though!

  • Chris you never cease to amaze me :)

  • you are so talented its unfair to other aspiring filmmakers. we have to look at your work and now it will probably be no where near being half as good as you.

  • @TheGregoryGUY dont be so hard on yourself. just do your best and follow your passion.

  • @blinky500 thanks man, that means a lot. i've just been having kind of like a moment of doubt with filmmaking lately, not being sure if I'm good enough. but i try to ignore those feelings

  • Sometimes you don't know what you got until it's gone. Good job.

  • if you give that older guy with the mustache a cigar he reminds me of Sully from the Uncharted series

  • Nice message, Chris :)

P.S. In case you don't know, I'm the one that wrote an article on a portuguese digital magazine about some of your movies.

    Good luck!

  • Amazing story. It drew me in and gave me goosebumps in the end. Well done.

  • I have to say it Chris. Starting with Choice and on through American Lawless, Host and now Roses, you are producing work that touches on so many different emotional themes that you haven't really tackled before. You have just proved that not only are you amazing at making horror and action, but you are just as good at drama.

I consider myself lucky to work with you.

  • @PacoPapo wow, thanks man.

  • Hi Chris, just wanted to say I think this is some of your best work so far. Originally I subscribed to your channel for the comic based films like Catwoman and Mr. J (I'm a huge comic book fan), but I have really enjoyed these one off short films. I also really liked Choice. Keep up the good work.

  • I have learned over the years to stop and smell the roses. It took me loosing someone close and dear to me, also named Chris. This was beautiful, I hope that everyone who watches this can grasp that concept. Life is shorter than you think. Slow down and enjoy the little things in life because in years to come those little things can become big. Thank you Chris

  • @mygreenforest thank you sir.

  • Comment removed

  • @mygreenforest whoops. thank you ma'am.
