Question: I'm having system issues. I loaded Windows7, but want to reformat system. Now, I have a new hard-drive in place (sata - 500gb). I formatted this system a few times,but its not functioning properly. I want to install XP. The motherboard is a ABIT w/a 4 slot memory bay - it has 1gb, and the processor is an AMD 1600+.

It's an old 2006 AlienWare barebone. Need assistence - so that this system can work. Could you help out?

i bought that computer...but after 1 hr of use its to hot....is this normal??

Well the one I checked out did not heatup alot. It was warm but no different than most netbooks and laptops. Maybe the ventilation slots where being blocked.

i have the lt1004u version. i'd like to ask if it's possible to upgrade the memory cuz i only have 1gb on it.

Sorry I took long to answer you. Yes you can put a 2 Gigabyte chip in it. Check out the memory website CRUCIAL. Best of luck.

thanks for the reply! ok i went to the site and it's stated there that i can only handle up to 1536mb of memory. is this true? & i don't have access to the memory on the back/bottom of the netbook. i think i need to unscrew the whole thing! :(

Sorry I did not see that you had a different model than the one in the video. If you cannot access the memory at the bottom than you will not be able to upgrade it. This happened to me with an Acer netbook.

Only 2Gigs fit, there is only one slot.

Very good review, it was nice to now that there are other good netbooks besides asus, acer or hp. I'm really interested in this one, do you know how many rpm's has the hard drive?
