@Matthmatt1213 it was designed to keep the draugers out from the inner sanctum as in their state they cannot comprehend the simble combination of symbols left on the claws to open up the doors

@Matthmatt1213 the point is that there are many of those exact kind of Key in skyrim (albeit different colors) so the combo is to prove you not only have a key, but that you have the RIGHT key for that location.

Jesse, take your time with your lockpicking! Especially when you're working with a Master lock, you have to be gentle with turning the pick. Master locks have incredibly tiny pick windows, and you only get three tries with any single lockpick before it breaks.
