Why do people always debate who Tenchi ends up with? I hate to break it to you guys, but he doesn't end up with ANY of them. The whole point of the show is them fighting over him, so I don't think the creators ever planned for one girl to get him. All people can do is say who they think he should be with, based on which girl they like the best.

I like Ayeka, so I think her and Tenchi should be together. But my sister likes Sasami, so she wants them to be together~

Following the story line... it is all right there. American and European fans frequently do not stop to study the work as a culture lesson... which in many ways it is. The nuances are everywhere, even down to the 'peeping masks'... ~8) I love it!!!... just enjoy the series if you find it all confusing, just watch and enjoy on your level of understanding... most of all if you like it that is what counts most.

Well, stop and think, Ryoko was in the cavern for 700 years... and Eyeka was a 'teenager' then... and Sasami was a child... (she inherited Tsunami's Spirit during Ryoko's attack on the capital city of Jurai... Eyeka and Sasami are both Tenchi's great aunts, and Kasahito's mother is Eyeka and Sasami's aunt... think on that...

Ryoko=700 Years was roughly the same age as Ayeka when caught,

Ayeka= Looked just a bit older than sasami when Ryoko attacked

Sasami= looked about 3/4 years old abut the time of her Merge with Tsunami, Washu was captured by Kagato and kept frozen until Tenchi rescued her with Ryoko,

with that in mind you have the Triumvirate, Tsunami, Tokimi, Washu could be a lot older than 700 years same as the others

Ayeka is really young actually, not counting being in stasis. Ayeka is like 616 and Sasami like 612.

I think it was 600 in stasis, might be 700, it's been awhile.

Technically Ryoko is related to Tenchi as well. Washu is Ayeka's sister since she is the sister of Tsunami and Sasami is Tsunami. Since Ryoko is the biological daughter of Washu that makes her a relative of Tenchi as well.

Not really. Yes, Sasami and Tsunami merged, and Washu is Tsunami's sister, but Washu is still not biologically related to Ayeka.  It's like if your mom had a kid with some other guy's dad, you and that other guy are not biologically related. THere would be no connection between Washu and Ayeka had Sasami and Tsunami not merged.

Actually they are related as Ayeka and Sasami's grandmother (Lady Seto) was one of two Ryoko prototypes that Washu created (Japanese Manga information that ties to the OVA), long story short the prototype was lost, presumed dead, but instead lost its power, got amnesia, and became Seto. So this also makes Ryoko Ayeka's great aunt and Washu her great grand-mother. This biological connection to Washu is also how Misaki (Ayeka and Sasami's mom) was able to become the counter-actor.
