i have a new server with windows server 2003 on it i have notisd that when it is on it is allways accessing the internet when it shoud not i only have it setup as a file server for my network nothing shout be sent over the internet when i click on the status on the network adapter it is continualy sending packets to the internet when not in use my rougter internet light is flashing all the time do u now what is casing it thanks

how do you connect 2 different subnets through dhcp? dhcp server have 2 nic's each have different subnet. 1 client has this ip add 192.168.250.178 and the other client has 192.168.250.194 both have the same mask 255.255.255.240. i wanna make a connection on both client. i can't figure it out what to do.

@dhante0334 it is ok that you have the same subnet mask. but be sure your ip address is unique i mean not the same. Try to configure

Actually, if you prefer Windows, theres a free and legal Windows Server install available.

Although you may need to buy a lisence, so it doesn't expire after 30-days, OtherWise you'll have to re-install Windows Server every 30-days

Go to VmWare's site and use their search for Windows Server
