Man, Halo CE. This game brings a lot of fond memories. Funny how old ass games' still more fun than their sucessors. I mean if I had to choose between Reach or CE, CE would win. That's why I'm honoring this game in reach by recreating the original mark v armor worn in this game by the master chief :)

@runescapeowns8734 Well, you can take it off! Just click the red speach bubble on the YouTube vidio bar (the one with the vidio time and pause/play button) and the message will go away, along with other messages. You can do this with any vidios that have those messages. Hope it helps! :)

I don't know... the Halo 3 graphics were very good, but I think that CoD 4 graphics were better. However, from the looks of the Halo: Reach previews, thats going to blow everybody else out of the water.

Im not here to make fun of CoD but I still think MW2 could look quite a bit better then it does if they dramaticly tryed to. But thats a decision for another time probly.

Halo 1, Halo 2 are only for the Xbox and PC, and Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Wars are only on the Xbox 360. There are no versions for playstation

Its a planet controlled by the UNSC, its a major military base and played a huge part in the war, and its where all the ODST's are trained and where the SPARTAN program originally began. Before Halo 1 the covenant attacked it and glassed the planet, killing most of the Spatans.. Master cheif escaped abord the Pillar of Autum while pursued by several Covenant Cruisers. After they come out of the slip space jump they find themselfs facing Instalation 04, which is where Halo 1 starts.

Yes, the Xbox 360 have backward capabilities but for certain games. Halo 1 and Halo 2 are playable for the 360 but other games like MGS2 Subsistance or other original Xbox games won't work for some reason.

Man, this brings back good memories.

I really feel bad for anyone who didn't get to experience this game when it first came out. Back when it was fresh and new. Open-ended levels, vehicles, awesome physics, all of which had not been experienced before. Fuck i wanna be 14 again.

I hear comments from people who say they can't get into it because they played 2 or 3 first, and these graphics are bad, and all I can say to those people is they don't know what they missed.

It was replaced by the SMG in halo 2.

In halo 1 the assult rifle is less powerful than in 3

(about the same as the SMG) and in halo 2 they decided to make it into a dual wieldable weapon.

if you're referring to the cryo tube in the beginning he was in there for the slipstream travel from Reach to Halo.

If I understood Jodar5's question then he wanted to know why the Chief was in a pod in the opening cutscene. This pod is a perception of what Cryogenic sleep tech would be like at that time. Cryogenic sleep is where a person is frozen so that they are perfectly perserved and their body exerts the minimal amount of effort for living so that the person can remain in stasis for prolonged periods of time though it is unclear exactly why it is used during slipspace travel.

my guess why they freeze them is to try to make the trip go faster. There isn't much for them to do while in slip-space so they all just go freeze themselves and let the AI take over.

They do do this for long trips but niether the game nor the book really specifys how long they were in slip space on the trip to Halo. Plus, they were retreating from a hostile engagment, there is no way in hell any good UNSC captain leavs an AI entirly in charge of a ship when they could be attacked as soon as the enter regular space.

well that's why the AI always wakes them up before they enter normal space. Cortana did it before they found halo and whatever AI Keys had when he was a junior lt. when they first found master chief in The Fall of Reach did it too.

mine too, i think u need some program to improve your graphic for your pc. I saw it in the readme. Unless, u get xbox, which you don't need to worry about graphics. They will set it for you.
