I dont really know why people are getting upset and saying that mages suck, its all about the player. Novalocked is a very very skilled mage. he could probably kick all your asses
They nerfed the +30% crit chance while PoM is active. Now it only affects your *next* spell after *gaining* clearcasting or presence of mind. Proof on wowhead if you need it. Apparently the permanent 30% crit buff was not intended, from the start.
There are 3 songs in the video. I don't know what the first one is, but the second and third are from Devil May Cry 4. The second is called Swipe of Sword I think, and the third plays when you fight Agnus, if you know the game :)
Uhh, yeah...if this goes live, it just goes to show how ridiculous Blizzard has become with their game mechanics. There's no reason why a mage should be doing this much burst damage with the survivability they have. Sorry to burst your mana bubbles.
Fair enough; but at least you get 3 options for escape, compared to a destruction lock's 1.
Was just making the point that a mage really isn't screwed for survivability, regardless of spec...and now they have the ability to completely destroy basically any class without a spammable offensive dispel.
Just imagine a frost mage Spell Stealing an arcane mage's PoM. lol, should be interesting.
Theres plenty of classes mages get totally run over by at the PTR (with the new talents and such). Retridins as one of them. They're probably the most imbalanced class there is for the moment, but thats just at level 70. Blizzard have said that all classes will be more balanced at level 80, and that makes perfect sense. Can't really judge how a class will perform level 80 when its only at level ~70 - 74. Hopefully Blizz find a way to make everything as eaven as possible ;)
I dont think blizz intended this talent to be used like this :( I believe they wanted arcane mages using Presence of Mind to gain 30% crit for 1 of their cast time attacks straight after buffing. But by only using instant casts the crit chance will never end. I doubt that blizzard even considered this :S I hope this goes live, I think there may be too many complaints to keep this going...

Mages do have great survivability - as frost. If we blow our IB / Blink / trinket we're screwed as arcane.
