For people wondering about whether Disgaea 3 would be coming to PSP or DS. It won't. A major decision that Disgaea 3 should move to PS3 was that it had superior capabilities at generating 2D sprites. One of the levels in Disgaea 3 has 100 floors, a PS2 or PSP can't run that sort of complexity. In order to put it on the PSP, we would probably need 4 *highly compressed* and *utterly raped* UMD's at the *least*, seeing as Disgaea 3 is 17GB. In summary, it belongs on PS3, that is all.

if you're out for some awesome turn based strategy gameplay and variety you won't find a better game then this game.

The story is quite different then you'd get in any FF game - Disgaea 3's story is pure comedy - it's out to entertain you and make you laugh.

Of course it's special kind of humor won't be appreciated by everybody but I like it very much.

well to be sincere i dont have any disgaea game :'( is very hard to find it in portugal...

the game tha is similar to it that i have is Soul nomad & the world eater(a NIS game also) in there your weapons are the same the entire game their power comes from the level of the character and the combos it can make...

Not like Atelier Iris 3 that i also had the luck to buy so you se i not the better choice to explain that game because i never play any disgaea...

I don't remember 1 and 2 in detail anymore but the gameplay mechanics did improve imo.

As for the story - well it's style is similar and it's quality is in no way inferior to the previous stories - it just has a different set of characters and setting - so it's a matter of personal preference.

So I've seen a lot of people crying "whaa whaa the graphics are crappy this belongs on ps2"

The graphics are super high detailed sprites with 3-D background, and massive particle effects @ 1920 x 1080 resolution ... the playstation 2 doesn't have the graphic power.

Just because it's not super real 3-d graphics doesn't mean they aren't good graphics.

Totally agree with you man. They maded it where it take advantage of 1080p hi-def tv. I'm also thinking that each pics (png, jpeg, svg or whatever ) is around 10 to 20 mb ( trust me thats a lot of space for an image file this doesn't include any other file that is need for the game engine ) , holds up to 50 to over 100 different animations in one file or mabey even more :)... Well who cares about details or guesses what they use for this game, it still a great game...

Actually they cut out a lot of hardwar in the new 40 - 50 gig models to reduce cost of production. I would recommend reading the ps3 hardware faq on gamefaqs :) very interesting. But its still a great console and definitly worth buying.
