Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest Game Review TRAILER

This was easily the best and most influencial Castlevania on the NES. Clearly PS1's Castlevania masterpiece SOTN was heavily influenced by this game. Rating this game 6/10 is not doing it justice. I see this as an 8/10. Marks lost for: 1. Obsure objectives and next to impossibe to find locations; 2. The "fall-through" bricks.

I love Simon's Quest. It doesn't deserve all the hate it gets. It's also not really hard in the sense of levels and enemies, but it's hard to find where to go. By the way, will you review Order of Ecclesia and Judgment?

Hey KWING, I love your reviews, but you should really stick to posting them on Youtube. I've had nothing but trouble trying to view them on Got Game and Gametrailers and I haven't had problems on any other sites :(

GotGame just made more updates to the video player yesterday. Remember that the video resolution on GotGame is much better quality than YouTube so it takes a little bit longer to download. You would have the same problem if you tried to watch a high quality video on YouTube if you still had dial-up internet.

Well, I'm not sure what the deal is. My network connection consistently tests in the 18-22MBps range on various speed tests and is generally consistent with my file download speeds. I have no trouble with high quality video on Youtube or other HD streaming sources on the net. GotGame does however manage to not work somehow :(

I didn't need a strategy guide to beat the game. When I was a kid, I watched my brother played Simon's Quest. Although he beaten the game, he didn't find the silver knife. I, on the other hand, when to the World of Nintendo webpage and found the location of the Silver Knife, which is at the area where the zombie hands are at a place the garlic near the entrance and voila, the silver knife. As for beating the game, I beat it without sidetracking and with all the items, I got the good ending.

Can you go back to gametrailers? GotGame sucks because of 3 things: They like IrateGamer, its choppy and slow, and its blurry. The video plays slow and my computer goes really fast. Gametrailers was 1000 times better. GotGame makes watching your videos impossible. I makes me mad not being able to watch your awesome videos.

I think gotgame needs work with the loading time on the videos. Anyway, that was a great review. I don't care what some reviewers say, you got it nailed now. Still, without Simon's Quest, there wouldn't be a Symphony of the Night. One more thing, was that you and your wife with the voice overs in the story segment. If it was, that was great, like an interactive comic book. Keep up the good work, Kwing! :D

Still its a lot of work =P Yeah both SOTN and Harmony of Dissonance used the Simon Quest explore formula. Both great games but different Castlevania games non the less.

your download time is longer because the videos on GotGame are much higher resolution and better quality, even higher than gametrailers. you either need to switch to low-res or simply wait a bit for the video to dowload. the GotGame server can transfer at 1200 kbs per second which is faster than most DSL or cable internet lines can handle. a T1 line would play the high-res videos in real-time.
