Thanks David, keeping it simple to start with is always a good idea. Although I got a little confused when you added the "grove" as you put it, and changed the shape of the chords some near the end of the song. Great stuff though, keep it up. I'll get it sooner or later.

(sorry pressed send too early.) every white key to the left of the first black key in a group of two is a C. (at 0:56 it's the key his thumb is on.) then the white keys just go up from there. (the next would be d, the one after that is e, and so on until you're at G, where it ends and goes to A, repeating the cycle

During the intro: You started singing (although still in time) one count ahead of when you should have. Playing and singing at the same time does that to you, does it not? When you play just right hand and both hand!

This is called an inverse chord. Normally a G chord is composed of notes: G B D

However, he used a inverse G chords which is just: B D G. If you noticed the difference is the position of the G, however it is still a G chord because it is composed of the same notes.
