I know. It's sad. That's why when you travel to other countries you see them infected with McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Burger King... Because it's what American's want, and since they are a big piece of the tourist dollar, some countries don't want to miss out on that among other reasons.. When I was in Rome, Italy for 2 weeks, I saw 2 McDonalds and never went into either one of them. I enjoyed the hell out of the local eateries with these lovely Dutch and French boys I met as my chaperones

If we are what we eat, why are we eating foods that are artificially altered to make the "thing" eating them bigger? In this case, the growth hormones that can be found in our food chain now from beef that we eat sizzling on the platter in the form of a steak to the milk that cows produce to chicken, pork and any other thing that man can alter to make bigger (this equals bigger profits of course) that is having a trickle down effect on us humans consuming.

If you have travelled to Europe and to the US, this is the first thing you notice when you walk in the street.
Just google for OECD stats. Comparing ratio in France where I live and in the US : 37% of overwheighted and obese in France 66% in the US.
Several studies show that this ratio decrease with the level of education. But I think the main problem comes from your culture. Some european countrys like the UK and Greece are going in the same direction than the US.

So for such a small population as Paris, trains are the best form of transportation. I'm 5'5" and about 52 kilos/8 st approx. Fatsos are every on this fragile planet and are usually flesh-eaters.
