@shibizza He also wrote an exteremely depressing book about turning into a giant insect, being shunned as a result, and dying before returning to human form.
@KreukKristinLaura Wow, you're basing your view of America on a show that got canceled after two seasons? America's moms are like every other country's. Some are good and some aren't. I happen to love my mother.
@Mii20230201 Really? It bothered you that much you had to reply? Of all the spelling errors on YouTube, you corrected "etc"? Not to sound nasty or anything. Just pure curiosity you are that anal? I could understand if I didn't type the correct quote, but really "ect" bothered you that much? Just... just wow!
This show is awesome! I wish it was still making new seasons. I have the DVDs along with the movie. You know it's currently running on KCAL 9, on Sundays at 12:00 AM which is on Monday midnights.
This was one of my favorite shows. I own the entire set of DVDs and just got the movie that was put out on DVD. If you're inclined to check it out, go for the series as a starting point. It has Mandy Patinkin and he's a big part of why it's so good. (He's not in the movie which is called "Dead Like Me: Life After Death.")
oh hell was 2 months ago i was bored and just watced the movie for the hell of it. and freakin died when i got hooked on the series this show does a hell of a lot for a persons way of thought and life.there is nothing that can describe the feelings this show does for me its scarey in a good way now im not afraid to die any more.however there is only 2 seasons rite is there more i would really like to see more of this show wish they bring it back very much
justin19822, someone I know rents the DVDs of the series through NetFlix. I mention that in case you can't afford to buy the whole thing. I think they send her one DVD at a time rather than the whole set. It's an amazing series and just gets better from the pilot.
kickbuckets, much agreement on the quality of the show. The friend of mine has continued getting the "Dead Like Me" DVDs from Netflix so I can confirm that it's available there.
only str8 to dvd movie i can say is worth paying money for let alone sitting thru if you ask me i think it could have made a big deal at the box office and pulled in a bit of cash i love the movie and the show and thank god im alive to have enjoyed such a one of a kind peace of art
i did the same thing i watched the movie having never heard of the series i loved the movie then read it was also a series and i got freakin hooked like no tomorrow spent 2 whole days watching every episode i could there really is more to the show then just what you see its really a matter of what it makes you feel and a few made almost cry like a bitch.you really feel for the people and the main cherectors.but hey now im not afraid to die any more is really wrong 2 take it off the air
i don't know of many 18 year olds that know what they want to do, have found themselves, or know who they are. you'd think Joy could be a little more understanding of her own flesh and blood's difficulty to find her place in the world rather than accusing her of suckling at her retirement fund. guess it wouldn't be television though if she were.
thats actually not true at all..Most people do know what they want to do by the time there a junior in hs or atleast have some idea of it or of what they like. i'm 20 and have known what i've wanted to do since I was 16.
so you because you did everyone does? that's great that you've known what you've wanted to do with your life since you were 16. unfortunately many don't and i still think it would have been more realistic if the mother had been a little more understanding.
I agree. I chose by myself to leave home, living in another place (let's say, it is far far away). And it seems that everything happens to George did really happen to me. That's why I love this show.
So from my experience, after so long, when you look back, your mother or anybody in your family's support is not so important any more. Sooner or later you have to make a choice, whether you want or not.
And understanding, that's good. I don't really think it will help you much to find what you want to do, but that will give you better personality and supportive to other people you love, which I think is good.
1:43, that is so obviously not Seattle, with Harbour Centre, which has a viewing deck that is slightly similar but definitely different from the Space Needle viewing deck, lol.

Why did this show have to get canceled? Was it because it didn't get enough views?

MGM and Showtime can suck it... This show had such a perfect cast and crew.
Ellen Muth and Mandy Patinkin were immensely moving and entertaining in their roles.

This is the best TV show EVER !
The best !
Just the way of looking at life and "end of life" is GREAT !
F. Kafka said :" The only truth about life is that it is going to end. "
I think we just have to find peace with that ....
This show is saying us how ....
