Great work! and katakana is used in manga for sounds and shouting because hiragana and kanji are used for japanese words only (and shouting doesn't sound like normal speech thus they write it as the sound rather than the word itself). In other circumstances, katakana is used when writing something that is derived from another language. ^_^~
