subtleties and complexities of relational intimacy are not important when we live in a culture that emphasizes individualism and is acheivement oriented in nature. Work on getting below the surface guys.

you can't encourage students to join groups who are socially inept and operating from fear. you need to identify those students in another way that is much less intimidating.
