  • @Seabluejewels Its also greatly influenced by demonic attachments. That's the enemy's ultimate goal..to motivate God's people to commit murder against their own soul.

  • Hello Father Peter, I hope people can see this video especially those who are contemplating the act of suicide- or the point of no return. Life is precious. Problems do come and go. Once life has ended prematurely, there's no way of reversing it back . May God bless you.

  • You know....I completely agree with you. I was thinking the exact same thing, but giving this video to someone who is actually suicidal, will probably make them more suicidal O.O These people are too far into their self made hell to begin to admit this to themselves that this is actually what is going on with them :/ If they are to the point of suicidal, they've already created their own illness. Counseling is what’s best for them now. Liked the video :)

  • I dont agree, suicide has nothing to do with pride.. people can have severe depression and other mental afflictions, that are so bad....i have seen people close to me suffer..and i think you need to look more ,had they medical aspect of this..before making this sort of a statement....In nature.. wich we are part of to..there animals that suicide has well...we still dont have the answer for it...

  • I have traveled outside of my physical body and seen the kind of experiences people have when they were trying to "end it". Nothing ends. You are still conscious even if you lose your body. So then what do you do? Do you deal with your depression and tendencies to despair then? I know you will. There is no end to consciousness. Humans are responsible for what they think.

  • Father Peter is this for real? I think you've used every cliche in the book here.

Coward's way, Selfish, Mean, Prideful, Vengeful, Snuffed yourself

    W.T.F.

I thought the point of this video was to help suicidal people? I sincerely hope no acutely depressed people watch this video, especially young people. I'm afraid you have just demonstrated you don't know the first thing about suicide or mental illness, and need to seriously rethink your ideas.

Now I remember why I don't do religion.

  • @thinkwithyourownmind Actually suicide is murder and will create some serious karma as a result of such a decision. I was a psychotherapist for years and have worked with many who were suicidal. But there is a God who is watching and human beings will account for their behavior in the long run. Get help if you are suicidal.

  • @ruach2351

I am only surprised that you have used so many outdated (actually hurtful) stereotypes about suicide. Because it is precisely these social taboos that will prevent anyone (non-atheists especially) from seeking help, and prevent their recovery (since they already have enough guilt and poor self-image to deal with). I feel this is quite paradoxical. I can't rule out anything as I don't know what may or may not happen after death, but I can't see how you can be any more sure than me.

  • I believe this false prophet of a hollow congregation of lies is talking out his ass on a subject he has absolutely no understanding of. Suicide isn't a selfish act, it's a final defeat of an unstable balance in the brain, it's science, not fake ass religion. Shut your mouth with your grimace ass purple frock. Long live the gospel of doubt.... for you know no more than I, after all we're all sick ass weak humans, here to plague this earth and ruin it to it's core.... MISANTHROPY

  • I agree with everything this man says. I tried it in January 2009. I was seeing a dr psychiatrist. Put me on Haldol. after my dog of 11 yrs died. My mom was also dying and Im disabled and in so much pain for life after being rear ended. It destroys your relationships with your family. My family Hates me still to this day.

  • go back to kiddie fiddling lol...

  • Thank you for contributing to the scaring I am trying to do to myself. I am a new believer of the lord, and am just looking up things like what happens after death, to help me believe more, and such. You have helped scare me, and this is a genuine thank, with no sarcasm. Thanks, bro. ;)

    =D

  • LOLOL U FAG

  • It sounds to me like you had some issues with your parents. My always listened to me when I was going through things that seemed to much to bear. And I encourage my own children to do the same.

  • @steve76109 Everyone has issues with their parents even if they pretend they don't.

  • Is it possible for one such as me to go out of my body without dying? I really want to talk to God. =) I am, however, content to wait until God appoints my time.

  • @menohaveaname You can talk to God in a dream or an out of body experience. You will not die if you just go out of your body for a short time.

  • @menohaveaname I wish I was as patient and humble as you. I yearn for spritual growth and to feel God around me. I believe. I want to believe more. But my faith feels weak. Being a believer in a community of none.

I wish i could feel God and hear is whisper instead of just reassuring myself he's there with what faith i can produce. :[

    Nevertheless. Thank you jesus.

  • This is a cruel joke. Pridefulness, anger, these are causes of poor suicide attempts. MENTAL ILLNESS is usually the cause of the serious ones. And hokey religious sermonizing solves NONE of these problems.

  • @TheCaptainLulz But what makes a person go to the lengths of despairing and not feeling like anything matters. Blaming it on mental illness does not explain anything and it does not excuse murdering oneself.

  • @ruach2351 I couldnt describe what was happening when I tried, its not a feeling that makes sense, and thats why its a mental illness. Non-serious attempts are usually cries for help, but real serious attempts cant usually be uncontroled. I was not in control of myself when I made a serious attempt, and Ive heard the same thing from many others. Ive never had any reason to attempt, its just been my brain in control instead of my concious mind.

  • @TheCaptainLulz For some of my friends in university it was horrors they couldn't live with, the yugoslav war for example. For most though it was neurochemistry, myself included. The suicidal behaviour was controlled until I couldn't deal with it anymore. When I attempted I had been out of control of my faculties for a long time and it was solely the chemistry that had dont that.

  • @TheCaptainLulz the last thing anyone in that state of mind needs is the added guilt of religion when their chemistry is messed up, its more likely to aid them in attempting suicide than helping them out of it, as real suicide attempts are not thought out, they usually happen in the spur of the moment.

  • @TheCaptainLulz Mental illness is the scientific label for things like psychosis which is caused BY THE PERSON WHO IS AFFLICTED WITH IT by their thought processes and usual lack of disipline..People are labaling behaviours now and calling them "disorders" or "illnesses". just Like labelling kids with ADHD. It's not something they were born with. It's an imbalance that is simply created by how a child grows up and can be countered with state of mind. It's not a disorder

I am living proof of that

  • Speaking of pride, narcissism and self flattery 'Father' ? . Have you ever felt truly suicidal ? Get off your soap box and educate yourself. A suicidal person can genuinely believe they are relieving the suffering of others by dying themselves. It's mixed up thinking, but it's what some truly believe. So that invalidates your 'pride' argument, or as someone else called it 'clap trap' !

  • I have to disagree with much of what you say here. Suicidal people, as you rightly pointed out are on the edge of despair. What they need is love, not judgement. Not all suicide is prideful, some people genuinely believe they are all alone. One would have to be pretty low to even consider ending their life.

  • @inphanta I am not judging them. I am explaining the problem and there is a simple answer for it. Face the fear and overcome the pride and get back to taking responsibility for your life. That is hard and many don't want to do that.

  • Leaving a little aside the merit of the existence or not of a life after the death, I find interesting that almost a majority of cultures and religions condemn suicide. Was taking a look at the book Aeneid, Virgil and the suicides go to a room in hell, particularly stormy.

According the Father Peter soul of the (coward) suicide would be lost in a sort of limbo filled with suffering and sorrow. I wonder about why so much anger and desire for punishment for who commit suicide?

  • you're not enlightened so your view is just an opinion. check into non duality and leave mysticism and out of body experiences behind.

    read bernadette roberts

  • It's not that simple. Many people who commit suicide are severely mentally ill and simply feel that there is no other alternative. It has nothing to do with selfishness, pride, or cowardliness for such souls. And you are being judgmental by claiming to know where they go when they die just because you had an out of body experience. You are not God and you shouldn't judge such things. Who's going to take you seriously anyway? You can barely look into the camera when you speak.

  • I thank God and Jesus for being there to give me strength when I needed it to carry on. Some kids aren't so lucky . Even though it's been many years ago, the pain is still there, but it's down to a dull throb, and only when I think of it, which, honestly, I try not to. Until I can get some answers from the Lord, if He deems I need them, and assuming I'll get to meet Him and not end up somewhere else, then I'll probably always have a bit of pain for the child I was.

  • Not sure about the selfishness part...a young person, who doesn't know there's anyone to turn to, doesn't believe they're being selfish, they just want the pain to end. My own mind almost abandoned me as a child, hence the thoughts to leave this world took hold.

  • clap trap. you are grossly uninformed.

  • clap trap. familiarize yourself with the medical realities of mental illness. Blaming someone for death by suicide is like blaming someone for death by cancer.

  • Well said lessmystery. The arrogance and ignorance of this self righteous fool.

  • If these suicide people have to wait forever, is ther ever a time when they can reincarnate?

  • I find it interesting that alot of the thoughts expressed in a few of your videos echo the teachings of one of the main mystic writers that I am firmiliar with (Max Heindel). Not only on this subject but also astrology, reincarnation.

Father Peter, I am so glad to find that there are videos like this on youtube. Its important to know that the death of the body is not some kind of final escape or an end of anything at all.

  • only god knows how much i needed to hear these words .. thank you

  • I like how You speak. I like You. Fine words, thanks, a lot. - E

  • you're awesome

  • God Bless you Father. This was excellent.
