  • Does everyone who has colorectal cancer have to have a poo pouch? My aunt has one and had cancer of her colon over 20 yrs ago so I was wondering.

  • No, it depends on the location and size of your tumor. Mine was very near the end of the colon. I also had a lot of scar tissue in the area because of previous prostate cancer surgery. Sometimes it can be beat with chemo and radiation, but it surgery is necessary a colostomy is about a 1 in 8 occurance.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. Sharing your story means to much to so many as well as to me. Glad you survived it! We're "Pouch of Poo" brothers. All my best, Tim

  • Thank you for your courage to post this video - it is important that people are aware of problems they might have and get some medical advice before it gets too late. It's good to know you made it through. God bless.
