govt is us and the only thing keeping big corp from gobbling up the little guy and destroying democracy. try to keep dupont from polluting your drinking water on your own. try to put out your own house fire. libertarians are just republicans who want to get laid and smoke pot and are too lazy and scared to stand up to big corp.

first the republicans were overwhelmingly voted out, and then the democrats. I think the message here is that america (rightfully) hates both. America understands to some degree that neither party really cares about us. Ever since Bush Sr. we've been switching presidential parties every 8 years, as if the only thing worse than the current administration is the unknown. Seems to me that what we are sadly seeing is the defeat of democracy. We now have the right to vote for the evil of our choice

The two party system is dividing and destroying our country. The corporations that received bailouts gave a ton of money to the Republicans this election. They are the true masters, not the people.

@IndigoVagrant That's what it's meant to do. Divide the vote amongst themselves with grudge issues. Then do nothing in the end to appease neither side. Cater to corporate interests who pay for their campaigns. Vicious cycle continues every 4 years. Politicians and lobbyists laughing at us as we rip into each other.

Under Reagan federal spending increased by 60%. Under GWB with a Rep. Congress fed education spending doubled and medicare was expanded. Fed spending under GWB doubled.

How are all those votes for Republicans working out for you?

If you don't vote for what you want, you will never get it. In no way is my vote for a liberty candidate a vote for one of the two major party candidates who grow government and infringe on my liberty.

The only way to send a real message to the political royal families here in Missouri,

Republicans may talk a good game regarding property rights and eminent domain.

But in the end here in Missouri after Kelo with a Republican Legislature and Republican Governor, eminent domain reform legislation was passed which essentially did nothing to prevent eminent domain abuse.

Regarding wasting your vote. It is my vote to do with whatever I choose, even if I choose to not vote at all. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.
