I may have lifted to avoid hitting the car in front in the turn. But the transmission leaked quite a bit of fluid and my left rear suspension was soaked with oil and the tire was wet with oil as well.
It appears that you ran wide & over the outside berm and didn't get away with it this time.
You can see tire marks from oher cars at turn 14 that have have lost it there as well..
In this 2 lap sequence you've run wide in turn 7 (lap1), Turn 5 (albeit while being passed), and ran wide at turn 8. You don't want to run over the berms often as it can result in brake pad kick back or loss of directional control in the worst case.
The exit of 14 includes an additional runoff to the left of the berm. The left tires are on the red/yellow berm or close enough that they are running over the gator strips. At least that is my observation having raced at this track a number of times and having gone over the gator strips. It convinced me it wasn't the race line I wanted to be on. YMMV
It appears I suffered a sudden oil leak - either transmission or engine we don't know which yet - which sprayed oil on my left rear tire causing the loss of control.

He was just left of track center. Doesn't look like his driver side tires were over the berm at all.
