personally if i was to build a xr6 motor i would make it so i could handle 2000hp to be safe 9-10k rpm and bolt on a gt55 and wind up the boost....yes i know its a pipedream but someone with enuf money has to do it cmon!! supras make 1400rwhp with this combo i rekon 1500rwhp is possible with the extra displacement :P
@marek0086 best to have a smooth transition from a common collector rather than coming off perpendicular to the direction of flow in this case, but still produces the numbers.i suspect that the position of the wastegate valve has a lesser effect than the angle of intersection on the turbulence present in the collector
@MrJamesness~ No, i meant where the wastegate RE-ENTERS the exhaust..... in the dump pipe. It should be at least TWICE as far from the turbine. And i also would have plumbed it back in AT LEAST on a 45 degree angle..... not perpendicular to gas flow.... like they did.
Wow!

they really should have joined the wastegate further down-stream of the dump pipe!
Less turbulance....less back pressure.

yeah thats a sick as turbo, I love how the manifold looks like it wants to melt.

What is that hissing sound that get higher pitched when the engine revs higher? Sounds like a turbine.
Very cool by the way!
