Unboxing Final Fantasy XIII-2 Collector's Edition

I understand what you mean for the final fantasy series I buy them just because i waiting for them go back and listen to the true fans(who have been there throughout)and use the old well loved formula. What are your thoughts on final fantasy type 0 as that's getting decent reviews? I also agree with the point that you made about the ff front Covers in the pal region that's how all our ffs come and its just a better look to display than the ntsc u/c ones ver simple and nice on the eyes

@Mindeater100 Like with every FF game I am looking forward to Type 0. However, it still doesn't feel like a Final Fantasy to me. Its really just a problem with the name, the game will be good, it's just if it is called Final Fantasy then that's what I want. If you want some old school goodness then make sure you check out FF IV complete on the PSP.

I picked up a standard copy at WalMart lastnight that came with a poster but obviously i'm not gonna start it till I finish FFXIII. I'm right near the end of it so i should have it finished within this week. I like FFXIII overall but its very love and hate with me. I'm gonna do my final thoughts on it this coming weeked...The Collectors Edition looks pretty sick... Cant wait for the impressions vid!

@ballinnick1982 It is actually a nice CE. Looking forward to your video as I think you'll bring a level headed approach to it and not just "This game sucks". If I get through the game I am playing now by tomorrow, which is entirely doable, then the impressions vid should be up sometime next week maybe.

I thought Final Fantasy XIII was just plain terrible by any rpg standards

@TheFetchQuest I think a lot of the negativity aimed at 13 was due to the Final Fantasy moniker. If it was called something else, like Cocoon it would've been better received. How could you turn down an RPG with Wilford Brimley and Steve Guttenberg?!

@dustinkreis I think the reason why Final Fantasy has declined ever since X, is because of Sakaguchi and Uematsu leaving. I don't even consider 11-14 'Final Fantasy' they just have the name slapped on them, the real Final Fantasy is with Hironobu Sakaguchi, and I believe they should have ended the franchise when he left. At least they wouldn't continue tarnishing it. What's your take on this Dustin?

@phantomlink123 Yeah I pretty much agree, they were really the heart and soul of those games. Uematsu still did some music for X but it just wasn't enough. I understand why he stepped down after Spirits Within but it unfortunately sealed the deal on FF. It will be the same with Metal Gear as soon as Kojima decides to stop.

Looking forward to your first impression video, if I am missing out on a great game or not. Lightning was my favorite char as well in ff 13, but I did think she a pretty weak main char.

Final Fantasy Beginnings. Old school turned based combat. Make it happen Square! And it must be on a console, no coppin out on a handheld lol! Looking forward to the impression video.
