It is strange that Pakistanis come to Indian Music form and demean the beautiful rich culture of music and its ability to grow.

Pakistani's only know rock, pop, Qawwali, Sufi and Ghazals. They are taught to hate anything else. For many Pakistanis music means singing high an din the 3rd octave.

Pakistanis want to be judges of other cultures without knowning enough. I think the world is much better off without Pakistan. Pakistanis should be banned from youtube until a certain tolerance maturity

I greatly support the coke studio initiative in attempting to create and bring forth nice fusion music. However, I was very disappointed at the way a great composition such as 'Brova Bharama' was killed in spirit and soul by Matangi rajasekhar and team. Thyagaraja pleaded Sri Rama to take note of his devotion and shower his mercy and you seem to have lost this 'Bhaavam' completely. Please dont butcher such great compositions and gems in the name of fusion without understanding it.

Even though I love how coke studio is trying to blend music and involve a much larger audience, these carnatic songs are VERY soulful and delicate, it feels like such a beautiful tyagaraja keerthana has been butchered. I'd rather hear a fusion with a slow brova bharama and soft support from instrumentals than see its lyrics squeezed to fit the other and sometimes even the shruthi and taalam has been missed. Kind of hurts a lot to hear!

Its an awesome one..loved that pure music of India....Can't compare it with Coke studio Pakistan...I really agree that there music industry is rich..BUt I feel the lyrics of our songs complemented by the pure Music..the lyrics of the songs of India just puts beautiful Soul in it....The classical fusion just makes the song talk to you....Beautiful Work by Coke studio India THums up to you...

Also Rohail Hyaat had some very "gay" numbers in Pakistan Coke Studio as well... Its very wrong to say that Brazil and Europe had failed Coke Studios. Its just that Pakistan is nearer to use and similar in the music texture which is why you feel that Pakistan Coke Studio took it to the next level. Not all songs in Pak CS were great and so is true for India CS

Simply Breathtaking!! Tochi could do with some improvement, actually he seemed a lil pale in comparison to Mathangi who effectly showed the sheer versatility of her super strong carnatic foundation! Overall, a treat for discerning listeners! Dunno much bout the lyrics, but the lilting melodies transport yu to a different dimension. Mathangi was phenomenal but Tochi left a lot to be desired. Evident compromises made in sound editing. Hope Coke Studio pays a little more attention on the tightness of songs rather than churning out numbers to fill episodes.

What a waste of talent.Not a good arrangement.Bad fusion.The carnatic song is a misfit.Fusion is not an easy thing to do. One should leave it to the masters. There are many other carnatic songs which are simpler and lighter which could be used. Dunno who suggests these fusion mixes. This is no where close to the Pakistani Coke studio of Alif Allah, Jugni.
