  • would stable bars even matter? then he would have been blown across the road while being firmly attached to the trailer...

  • @spiker84 Stabilizer bars wouldn't have helped in this situation, no. In high winds, slow down and come to a stop at the first available exit. People tend to think they are super star drivers though, and ignore common sense.

  • @mannwhosoldtheworld exactly..

  • if i would have filmed this i would have forgot to save it...

  • I have a 42 foot fithwheel toyhauler i dont have to worry about idiot mistakes

  • can you say dumb ass who needs stablization bars

  • @ThePowerstroker1 can you say dumb ass who needs a fifth wheel instead of a class V.

  • @aussiek2000 Well ya but maybe the dumb ass couldn't afford a 5th wheel so since he didn't get stablization bars he's out a camper also

  • @ThePowerstroker1 Stabilizers are a great investment, but in this situation (top of a hill, lots of cross wind) they wouldn't have saved him. A light trailer like that is prone to getting picked up by the wind, the only real thing to do is slow down and get off the highway. Ball-hitch, fifth wheel, this thing was bound to end up on its side

  • @mannwhosoldtheworld neglagence.. they all knew it was risky. luckey there wasnt another car in the opposite lane.

  • @DBbyDesign Exactly.

  • I hope he's insured

  • That earthquake looked intense with all the shaking. You must have been a good driver to keep it on the road ;-)

  • that super duty ford you were in should of been pulling that.

  • @TheStevieboy1128 that is an f150

  • @TheStevieboy1128 LMFAO!!! You ser are the moron of the day!! That would of happend no matter what kind of truck was pulling it, ford, chevy, or dodge.

  • And if you anticipated this enought to film it, why would you not alert the driver?

  • What were you filming in the first place?

  • I wonder if some "sissy sticks" would have stopped that from happening. Or maybe made it worse...sending the truck over with the trailer. Hope everyone was ok... Thats a big ass bumper pull.

  • I watched this over and over and from the looks of it the hitch came undone. The only thing I can think of

  • is the driver ok

  • should have put wings on it

  • translated with Google:

    --------------------

Long before the accident, the trailer has started with the commute. As a driver you have to notice something.

Have been the "high" speed is not the cause. Rather it is a mixture of extremely long trailer chassis, the bad and the team had become unstable. A breath of wind, steering a wrong move or get a bump on the road then the team for commuting.

  • Comment removed

  • it almost looks like it come unhooked from the truck and the only thing connecting the truck to the trailer was the safety chain. then it fliped do to being only connected with a safety chain and uncontrolled

  • @Fapfapfa you got it right, the ball was not sucured. when i haul my travel trailer i put a lock on it, to keep someone from unhooking . this had to be a test video listen to what he said 3 secs before it flipped

  • @remastered1950ford I didn't notice what he said until you pointed it out

  • The guy in the F150 is a Butthole for not helping and seeing if he is alright. nice choice of trucks Super duties rock!!

  • Its crazy when you see it happen to a big rig. I've seen 2 so far and one slide off on the raid because of snow

  • They use a big wrecker to stand it right back up and the damaga well you gotta ask the insurance but pretty sure they won't share that info with you not that is not ur business but realy is not ur business

  • The wind blew it over ...

  • that duramax got OWNED

  • That must of been scary for the driver, and then to see the traffic that was following you right infront of you. How did he roll it back over? and how much damage was done?

  • See now his first problem was using a goverment built machine to pull. Get a real truck. Ford

  • @Brothersjo yes a ford probably would have reduced wind speed and made the trailer into a more aerodynamic shape.. fuck your dumber then a ford wiring harness you stupid putz.

  • @craigw21 Omg it was a joke, :P you can always tell who the chevy fans are when they totally hate your comment. I was just kidding. But yeah i guess im dumber then a ford wiring harness? ok thanks bro :) Id rather be one of them then someone who spends there time yelling at other comments, that were jokes. I mean i hope you do know it was just a joke. Anyway, guess its my fualt for not stating it was a joke, even though it was quite obvious. :) thank you have a great day :D

  • @Brothersjo since when is any pickup a real truck?

  • @jetengine7 Um. that makes no sence?

  • I WAS LOOKING AT THE VIDEO FOR LIKE A MIN. AND I DID NOT SEE ANYTHING I LOOK DOWN AT THE COMENTS TO SEE IF ANY BODY PUT A TIME IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN I LOOK BACK TO VIDEO AND I MISSED IT!!! "0:46"

  • @steve2012tx haha i did the exact same

  • And MADONNA "HUNG UP" is Playing from CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR on the Camera Truck's Radio.

  • That's gotta be heartbreaking to happen to you.

  • that truck didnt roll over thx to the 4 wheels on the back axel, thats why i drive one of them... they are really stable on the rd...

  • "I've got it on film!"

    Nothing else to worry about?

  • It was just to damn windy guys!!

  • road head gone wrong

  • was it cross winds???

  • holy crap did you see that dually

  • One hell of away to test a trailer hitch.

  • What the fuck happened ?

  • AW there it is!!!

  • AW THERE IT IS!

  • Can someone adjust that antenna for me ... lol..

nice job hooking the safety chains up the right way....

  • damn that dually is hanging.

  • ok? how it flip?

  • @MegaMudder12 wind

  • @MegaMudder12 wind

  • I like how the Ford just kept going

  • wat the fuck?

  • i like how he new it was going to do tht

  • Freaking unbelievable!!!

  • final destination, redneck edition

  • a wee bit of advice if towing in high wind fill all of the water tanks to lower the center of gravity but at least they were using a one ton to tow that trailer

  • Hes lucky his truck didn't flip too.

  • "I wanna get it when it goes completely over"

  • @92SallyGT AND 5 SECS LATER BOOM!

  • The guy was driving too slowly - man up girly pants.

  • aw man...messed up the cone thingy

  • I love ABBA in the back ground

  • 1:10 theirs ur problem... the ford is following the trailer not towing it!

  • If there is that much wind, you should not be driving a rig that long. If you insist on driving in that direction on that day, have someone watch it, and the second it starts to tip, floor the truck.

  • @terraria103 ... thats a very good try but mostly will only work when hauling a car or something lighter something that heavy will not let the engines truck be able to accelerate fast enought too change the direction the trailer is going too... but anyway still do an effort tough

  • omg

  • Sadly I have seen that several times in my life. Once on Pachico Pass going into Livermore, once on Tehachapi Pass going east 58, once out by Needles and a couple of times on 880 east between Sacramento CA and Vacaville. All of them because of the wind conditions. Most all of them the wind warnings were being showed miles ahead and the people failed to slow down and a sudden gust blew them over just like this one. I was in a truck and going a speed I thought was safe and I came through just fine

  • pull out the winches!!!!

  • Fuck good thing the ford wasnt on er shed be fuucked

  • Next time keep an ear out for wind advisories...

  • assholes stopping.. KEEP MOVING !!!!!

  • @Corey497 yea God forbid they try ad see if those people are ok....

  • Oops...=/

  • note to self: buy a streamlined camping trailer

  • that cone is sitting perfectly in front of the backtrack

  • dont worry! he didnt spill his beer!!!

  • Those prarie winds can be quite the bitch.

  • if the trailer is wobbling the way to stop it is to speed up not slow down

  • @crephotos ....Oh ya, I was wiping my but last year and a square of toilet paper split into 2 pieces, doesn't happen that often, it's "A toilet paper accident to remember"! Some ground hogs only come out once a year to see the World and then they crawl back in their hole, and call it a "World to remember!"

  • Fuckin idiots. They should not drive in high winds. They deserved it.

  • @SoCalDualSport Yup. This is why truckers hate RV'ers.

Hint to RV'rs.....save the money, buy a damn ticket to Tahiti instead.

  • @Evilmike42 Exactly. Take an all inclusive vacation down to somewhere warm and let someone else do the driving/flying. We've been on several road trips and I've seen about 7 RVs flipped over and causing an insane traffic jam.

People end up getting so pissed off at RVers that no one stops to help, myself included.

  • least he dident lose the truck

  • "An RV crash to remember"? What's to remember about this? Big Deal! Stupid title!

  • @KonaRooster hahha yeah like there are some worth remember and.some that aren't

  • @KonaRooster remembering*

  • @ 0:46.......Luke SKywalker?

  • eww, sorry for you. The slide outs, slid out. That probably didn't make it easy to salvage. The first thing I would have done is remove those lp tanks.

    What state were you in?

  • That sucks, hope no one was injured... The Rv looked expensive!! Guess the insurance company will have to believe him and pay the man with this video it's a guarantee!!

  • An object in motion will remain in motion until...

  • Where was this shot?

  • That gmc is beast!

  • i didnt read through all the comments, but how fast was he going when the trailer crashed? i saw a few comments that a fifth wheel would have been better, i think it would have had the same result, i would think a trailer in the wind is just a trailer in the wind. strong winds have the right of way. hope no on was injured.

  • @felicks that would depend alot on what type of fifth wheel hitch you have and just how high the winds were.....if you and a truck style fifth wheel and the wind was high enuf it couldve rolled the truck too.....at least with the ball hitch it came loose from the truck saving his truck

  • I did that very same thing only in a Semi and I went over with it. It was actually a tornado that hit me. Spent a couple days in the hospital over that one.

  • "THERE IT IS" you mean you knew it was coming? Wtf.

  • OH THERE IT IS!!!!!!! Theres what?

  • atleast the truck is ok....

  • Shat pants?

  • It seems kinda mean that you're just filming away knowing its gonna happen, could've honked and been like slow down poop face, just for the effort

  • A half-ton truck would not have had the weight or power to pull that trailer: Chevy or Ford. I think this guys only problem was that it was too windy. I am surprised that someone manufactures a bumper-pull trailer that long and tall.

  • Shoulda had an f150 with the trailer sway control!!

  • @Klperformance68 yes a f150 would do much better. i really hope you're kidding, you can't even legally tow something that heavy with a f150

  • @Klperformance68 haha really? you retarded?

  • lol, wonder if there was anyone in the trailer at the time?

  • Wow everyone saying "small trucks shouldnt tow stuff like this" is stupid. These trucks are designed for this. That is a big trailer for a bumper pull, would have been more stable as gooseneck or 5th wheel. I drive a dodge 2500 cummins for a work truck and have towed a safety shower trailer that was higher up and heavier. You have to slow down...

  • well the safety chains work...

  • boy it sure is nice to have insurance.

  • How much wind was involved to tip it over like that? Do you know for sure?

  • Zzzzzz....

  • That musta sucked.

  • why'd it tip? wind?

  • @TheDylanJoyce he didnt use a 5th wheel

  • @TheDylanJoyce it fliped over cause he was going to fast and it would of been better if he had a 5th wheel

  • Yea driver error, i seen today a car pulling a little u haul trailer. It says on the back doors "do not drive over 45mph" lol

  • I have never seen that woooowwwooww ;p

  • Most of the time there is a lock on the ball hitch to keep it from just coming up. Either way, if your towing something larger than 20', you should be required by law to have the right towing equipment and pass an inspection before you go off driving something this large. Glad he didn't hurt anyone.

  • what trailer was that?

  • reading the comments makes me lol...people blaming the truck....the truck has nothing to do with keeping the trailer from being blown over by the wind...ive seen semi trucks on their side cause of cross winds.... its driver error, too fast.

  • That's why I tow a 5th wheel! That's one way to ruin your under ware!

  • one reason why I use a equalizer hitch.

  • Damn

  • Feel sorry for the guy takin a shit in the back.

  • this would make a great GM commercial thumbs up if you agree

  • @kevintomb how do you suggest that the speed the ute is going affects the the wind thats blowing into the SIDE of the trailer. doesnt matter what size the ute is it still going to blow over. he wasnt driving too fast either.

  • @PureN3WZ3ALAND A moving object will sway and rock much easier. Ive driven big vehicles in cross winds, and the ONLY thing that lessens the rocking or swaying is to simply slow down. The wind is not constant and it comes from varying directions. It isnt a straight line of wind at a 90 degree angle to the trailer but it gusts up and down and from different angles. The speed VERY MUCH SO affects how easy it tips over.

  • Imagine that semi that passes by in the oncoming lane taking that pick up truck and trailer out completely. Talk about luck! But I think the semi driver was driving at a proper speed!

  • Double rainbow

  • Thats what gets me, guys using little pick up trucks to do more than they are capable of really.

Sure it says it can tow such and such an amount, but the reality is, its still just a fancied up little truck.

  • @kevintomb Little??... Its a crew cab full size 1 ton GMC. Whats your idea of a big pickup?

  • @Daytona426x Little as in, its STILL just a small pick up and its not a heavy duty real truck made for serious towing etc. Its still just a "pick up", not a medium or heavy duty "Real truck". Take the crew cab away, and its simply an everyday truck thats just a bit more heavy duty. People use these trucks for things that are beyond what the people are capable of doing properly. Just cause its "able" to tow something, doesnt mean the driver is capable or that the vehicle is IDEAL.

  • atleast the safety chains held!! lol

  • that was a BIG trailer...catching ALOT of wind. Sometimes you just gotta pull over.

  • Hope you guys had insurance for the RV... That would suck losing a good fraction of your investment...

  • Now what made it crash? The wind? I love RV's but we have a slide in on a dually for that reason. However the truck was a dually. Wow if it's the wind then it must be strong. Hope no one was hurt.

  • One less road clogging center lane hogging poky ass rv on the road.

  • FAST FORWARD TO 0:43 to see the crash

  • crank that ABBA!

  • "WOAH DENNISSSSS!" -- Was that a "Dennis wtf are you doing?" 'Woah Dennis'? or was it a "Dennis! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT DENNIS!!" 'Woah Dennis'?

  • @Erectoralporicy Whoa there it is

  • @triden55

oh lmao, yeah I guess you're right.

  • @triden55 No way

  • happened to my bosses new 40 inch fth wheel and 2006 powerstroke 1 tone, lifted er all the way accross into the other sides ditch

  • at least the truck didnt get damaged

  • Duh I got a dooooly. I can pull any daym thang fast as I like.

  • @hunghuge12 I think the issue with these small trucks ( pretending to be big trucks ) is that too many are able to tow things beyond what is reasonable or prudent. They figure, its a pick up truck, and it says I can tow such and such amount, but that why they make big trucks and require testing etc. anyone can buy a pick up, but maybe thats the problem. Towing is one thing, knowing the limitations of a smallish duty truck and your driving ability is another.

  • @kevintomb Exactly and even if they're within the tow limit there's nothing to say they know how to tow or that they have common sense. I think a trailor license over certain weight/size would help. I know it's a pain in the ass for everyone with common sense but there are always people who have none so it needs regulating to weed them out.

  • @kevintomb There are far too many "trucks" of this type. They want to try to do things that are beyond the truck or the drivers ability, but they figure they can buy it at a car dealer so its all good. Trucks over 3/4 ton should be classified as a commercial vehicle. They want to play up what they are capable of but, still try to act as if they are just an everyday pick up. Its one or the other but cant be both. Guys buy these and try to do way too much silly stuff.

  • @kevintomb i have a 2001 silverado 3500 hd and i tow stuff thats wayyyyyy bigger than this and i have no problem.. the only problem here was the wind

  • Has nothing to do with the truck, just the driver. You could have had a Pete pulling it, but as long as it's a ball-hitch coupling, it still would have rolled. It was 100% driver error, he should have slowed down because of the wind.

People often think you need a big truck to do a job but you really don't. For example: TaTa trucks in India weight half as much as a typical American semi, and are powered by 5.9 Cummins, but they haul 40,000 lbs more than american trucks do

  • @mannwhosoldtheworld, and are also less safe as they are constructed with a plywood cabin. Yeah, diver error my ass, when you have winds that can tip over a flat tall load there is no speed that could stop it.

  • @Tungsten23 Transport trucks do not have plywood cabs. They are usually Aluminium and/or Fibreglass. My own Peterbilt 379 is an Aluminium cab with a FibreGlass roof.

Also, trailers are less stable as the speed increases. If the wind was strong enough, yes it could tip it over at a stand still, but it would take much more wind to tip a stationary object than it would to tip an object travelling 50 miles per hour.

  • That wind can be a bitch...

  • this is the kind of videos, that are seen on tv later..

  • Wind and speed played a big part in this. Next time get off the road when its windy or just drive slower. 50mph Moron..lol

  • Sounds like Canadians.

  • use a sway bar next time

  • @floppy889 sway bar wouldnt help, it was the wind

  • Man to see a gmc dually truck that big have it back end lifted up like that............. wow makes ya wonder were is the limit on the size of a tailer you can haul ?

  • @Dfoxx113 Has nothing to do with the size of the trailer, because most RV trailers out weigh and out length the truck anyway. My 16' dually weighs 8500lbs...and my 32' trailer weighs more than 10,000lbs. The reason for this accident has everything to do with the dumbass continuing to pull it in those winds. When high winds happen, you pull over until they die down. He also didn't have weight distribution and antisway bars connected to his hitch. That dumbfuck is lucky he didn't kill anyone.

  • @WarmothGuitarist Why does your truck weight 8500 lbs? Just sayin, thats higher than the specs for any truck lists?

  • @kevintomb By the time I fill it with fuel, and load my bed (complete with 350lb motorcycle and hefty fiberglass Snug Top...it weighs in at right around 8500 lbs.

  • Hahaha! These trailers are getting more and more expensive, but built like a f ucking tin can! Main reason why I build my own from scratch...
